This is by far my favorite of all time.
Yesterday wrapped up my runDisney season - seven races, 71 miles, 10 medals.
I finished my first marathon, became a D***y challenge finisher, and made so many memories that’ll last a lifetime.

48 hours from now, you can find me sprinting through the Atlanta airport because I chose the world’s shortest layover at the world’s business airport. But right now, you can find me on the couch, mentally still in a sunflower field, and ready to watch movie 11 of my 31 nights of spooky movies. 🎃🌻👻

My bags are packed (ok, not really. But I have pulled my suitcases out already, which is more prepared than I usually am.) and I’m now 10 days away from my next adventure - heading back to Salem to see my best friend for the first time in almost a year! I’m so ready to take in all the sights, to do all of the spooky things, and spend time with my best friend 🙌🏻

Just kidding, spooky season started in August at my house. However, tonight does kick off my annual tradition of watching 31 spooky movies all through October! I’m going to be sharing my list, each individual movie, and reviews as I watch them. This is my favorite month of the year and I’m so excited for all of the Halloween activities!

Happy 52nd to my favorite place on earth! From my first visit at age two, to working in the DCP to celebrating my little’s birthdays, and countless trips in between, this place holds so many fond memories ❤️❤️

I had such a great start to my day at ! I won a giveaway yesterday to take a class today at the coffeehouse with . I had some great cold brew coffee and made two adorable terrariums.

I’ve done a lot of things, but I’ve never been to a fan con until yesterday. (and their celebrity guest list, of course) set the bar high. Since I went on a Friday, it wasn’t crowded. Almost every meet and greet allowed for time for conversations, several pictures, laughs, and hugs. and I met several fun people and made great memories.

Yesterday’s Twilight VIP experience at was so much fun! I finished the day with a meet and greet, Q&A session, and autograph signing with Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) and Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen) from the Twilight series. I’ve loved the movie/book series since I was in high school, so it was thrilling to meet two of the people who embodied the characters so well.

I’ve done a ton of meet and greets today. I can’t even begin to say how nice everyone has been - especially . This woman is an absolute gem and is responsible for so many voices that I loved when I was a kid (Vicky - Fairly Odd Parents, Daphne - multiple Scooby Doo movies/episodes, and so many others). She asked me who my favorite characters were and she proceeded to do the voices for me 😭💜

So far, it’s been a fun day full of meet and greets at ! My first stop of the day was with - voice of Max Goof, Thackery Binx, Chester McBadbat (and TONS of others). Five star experience getting to meet someone responsible for so many childhood memories!

I’m certain that running the Crazy 8’s 8k (and the 3k) has been solidified as a new yearly tradition. It was a fun race, even with raging humidity

I missed because yesterday was hectic. I earned some new hardware on Saturday night after completing back to back races (a 3k and an 8k). This event was pretty unique - it started off with a 3k which was immediately followed by an 8k. The course for the main race was figure 8 shaped and finished under the lights of a high school football stadium. It was hot and humid, but it was nice running on a new course with 1600+ other people - one of the biggest races I’ve done outside of the runDisney races!

This was certainly a fun way to get my long run in this week!
Last night, I walked the Almost Crazy 3k with friends, and then followed that up by running the Crazy 8’s 8k.
The race got delayed due to the weather (the 3k was supposed to start at 8, but didn’t start until 8:45ish, with the 8k starting right after everyone finished) and it was SO humid. Even with the weather being less than ideal, I still had tons of fun running on a new course with 1600+ other people!

I ran race #17 of the year (little man’s third) on Friday night. We went to Downtown Elizabethton to run in the Firefly 5k and all three of us had fun! This is one of my favorite 5k courses because it takes runners through a historic part of town, onto the Tweetsie Trail, through downtown, and across the covered bridge. See you next year, Firefly 5k!

We’re celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary today by going back to the restaurant where we had our first date 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️💍

Race #16 of the year was the Achin for the Bacon 5k this past Saturday. It was a great day to run with great friends!
