The old saying encourages us to “stop and smell the roses.” Today I found myself slowing down and stopping to really look at the flowers. Summer takes its toll on the garden and it’s easy to feel like there’s not much out there compared to the gorgeous abundance of spring flowers. But today it was cool enough outside to just enjoy the more understated summer bounty.

I’m harvesting this evening for a flower pop-up at Joe’s Coffeehouse in East Atlanta Village tomorrow morning from 9:30 - 11:30 am. Come by for a bouquet of organically grown flowers and stay for a damn fine cup of Joe’s!

Subscription bouquets ready for delivery!

I’ve finally got enough flowers to deliver these bouquets to my very first subscribers! As a Christmas gift, a lovely lady bought a Spring to Fall bouquet subscription for herself, her mom, her sister-in-law and friend. How sweet!!!

They say farmers work from “can’t see to can’t see.” This time of year, when the days are cool, dusk comes too early.

I’m finally taking stock of Stock. This clove scented lovely is still going strong in wintry weather. Stock seedlings are in the ground now for spring bouquets. Keep your eyes and nose out for them in a few months!

Another day, another dahlia here at the Farmers Market!

Loved harvesting flowers this evening although it’s a bit bittersweet as tomorrow will probably be my last Oakhurst Farmers Market for the season.
