these are some of my favorite pieces from last year. it’s funny how we grow as artists. when I was taking / editing these I was in a very dark place & relied a lot on my art to make me happy. I was filling my days with hours and hours of work trying to numb the pain of my personal life. once that stopped working in came the burnout and the hardest 7 months of my life. creating art became a chore and for 7 months, I hated photography, I hated art. I had other jobs lined up because I was days away from quitting photography. I tried EVERYTHING to get the spark back and nothing worked.
I attended a photoshoot with a good friend in March where I felt like maybe this is it, maybe it will come back. & it did. my photography was no longer a place to fill the empty spot in my heart - it became something else for me. I healed my inner self, left a lot of toxic spaces & now I create art out of pure love & joy for it.
if you made it through the whole post, I appreciate you. no matter what you do, keep yourself healthy & happy. art will be there always, take care of yourself please🖤

this months challenge for was to take a cartoon from my childhood & create a scene that the characters would never typically be in. went back and forth with a couple of ideas & then “BLAZY TOWN” popped in my head & I had to run with it. haha hope you all love this fun & silly set we sure had a blast shooting these 🖤

this shoot has been on my todo list for YEARS, I looked up countless tutorials, inspo, etc. I never found a decent video on how to edit these. so anyways I trusted myself shot the shoot & then sat down and started editing! they turned out FIRE and I’m so proud of me today🫶🏼
