UNITE FOR JOY - Watch Mission: JOY presented by the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Office, Richard Branson, Kristen Bell, Forest Whitaker, Cher, Gloria Estefan & 70+ others
When the world is facing grave challenges, people of conscience do something about it. Recognizing that many around the globe were struggling more than ever against isolation and despair, two of the most revered global icons, the Dalai Lama & Archbishop Desmond Tutu, joined forces one last time to share their wisdom & humor in Mission:JOY, a laugh-out-loud funny documentary inspired by their international bestseller, The Book of Joy. Right here, right now, artists, athletes, and thought leaders from around the world are coming together to celebrate the amazing friendship of these two self-described ‘mischievous brothers’ and to invite you to UNITE FOR JOY. The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Tutu are a testament to the fact that there is so much more that unites us - one shared humanity. In a world rife with challenges, both small and seemingly insurmountable, the lived experiences of Archbishop Tutu and the Dalai Lama serve as a profound example of the power of JOY in the face of adversity, and how necessary and sustaining a force it is for all people in these deeply troubled times. JOY is the ultimate antidote to despair. Created & produced by an Academy-Award winning team, Mission: JOY brings audiences inside the incredible friendship between these two leaders who, through tears, laughter and a significant amount of teasing, show us all how to create more JOY in our lives every day, no matter our circumstances – even the times of war, pandemic & political division in our deeply hurting world. UNITE FOR JOY. Celebrate our shared Humanity. Heal the World missionjoy.org/unite — Inspired to continue the mission, bring it to the masses, and advance the science of JOY, the JOY team joined forces with scientists at UC Berkeley, UCSF, Harvard University and more to launch The BIG JOY Project - the largest ever citizen-science research project on JOY. After 7 minutes a day for 7 days of trying out easy micro-acts of JOY, each participant gets to find out what
