This is the Gigi rug by Magnolia home by Joanna Gaines! I was looking for a traditional style rug and this one is perfect. This one has a raised design and two toned texture. I love that it has made my bedroom seem more romantic. I also paired it with the Jet and Liv pillows from the same collection! Comment rug and I will send you the links!

It’s crazy to see how much our house has changed. My first project was the lime wash. We got new lighting and house signs. Then I put in the brick walkway and painted our house blue. Next up was ripping out all of the landscape and installing new landscape. It has taken me over 2 years but so happy with the end result! What is your favorite upgrade?

Tutorial ⬇️

I cannot believe this is the same floor! Swipe over for the before! has a kit that has everything you need to epoxy your garage floor. Here is how I did it! (A D)

Removed paint and glue from the floor with a scraper
Pressure washed and etched the floor with Citric acid
Determined there was a previous floor coating so I used a diamond floor grinder to prepare the concrete
Taped the perimeter with masking tape
Repaired the cracks and spalled areas with filler
Mixed and applied the epoxy and threw on the flakes
Waited 24 hours and applied the clear coat!
You can walk on it after 24 hours and drive on it after 4-5 days!
Overall with the grinding this took me 5 days to do and it as so easy!

Week 4 of the is in the books. I partially moved into the shed, put together a bookcase and installed the link system. Only a bit more to go!

Photos from Making Our Place a Home's post 04/18/2022

Week 2 of the is complete. This week I was finishing the floors, put trim around the floors and finishing the trim around the inside and outside of the windows! Getting so much closer to moving in! Next up is caulking, filling, and painting the trim and then building storage! I still can’t believe I built this shed from the ground up!

Also, how cute is that shed sign my grandma bought me! She found it at an antique store!

04/11/2022

After a serious case of FOMO I decided to join the sponsored by and work on finishing the she shed I built this winter! So excited to work along side some amazing Diyers! Will share some of the mood boards from other guest participants tomorrow! Plans for this challenge include trimming out the windows and door, finishing the flooring, building storage, dust control and optimizing workflow!

It was my husbands idea to build me a shed. He said he believed in what I was doing and thought it could go somewhere. We shall see 🙂 We originally were going to do a kit shed but found almost the exact plans and here we are!

The project started the 27th of December and is just now coming to a close. My dad helped me with the framing and roof and my husband did the electric but the rest of it including the siding, shed doors, trim, painting and flower boxes I did myself! Now I’m day dreaming of what I will build in there first once I finish the side! Thanks for all of your support this whole project! It means more than you know!

Has this week felt like a 100 days for anyone else?? Or is it just me?

I’ve been tired at night so less progress than I have wanted to make but I am almost done! I find it hard sometimes to balance work, family, working out, projects and all the rest of life. A goal for 2022 is finding a bit more balance!

All that is left for the other side of the bathroom is to update the doors, touch up paint, clean the floor and finish the ceiling! I hope to get a final photo in the next week!

Thanks for all of your support for this project and all the others!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did!

If you were watching my stories this weekend you saw that my dad came down to help me put the roof on my shed. What you didn’t see was all of the fun and laughter. Along with some silly moments. Me bringing the drip edge up the ladder and hitting my dad on the head twice 😬. It’s not heavy and he did not get hurt. Another funny one was me cutting down a 4x8 sheet of OSB and walking backwards and falling right into the shed on my bottom! My dad accidentally hammering the corner of the window frame 😳. There were so many other things that caused us to have a good time including all of his music 😂.

But we roofed the shed and got the windows in! Now I need to make the doors, put up the trim and caulk and paint it! Then we can move to finishing the inside! We are calling the electrician to run electric to it this week!

I will put up some more detailed stories today of what we did! I think our next build together will be a treehouse!

Any questions about the shed build?

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately but did want to post a progress pic of my she shed!! Gary decided to give me one for Christmas and my dad came down to help build it after the Christmas holiday. This is where we are after one week!

My arms are sore from lifting huge pieces of wood and hammering but I am so proud of where we are with this and hope you are enjoying following along!!

Up this week hopefully will be getting the rest of the trusses on and finishing the roof!! If anyone local wants to hammer in some nails let me know 😂😂.

A little delayed on posting these but trying a project in a kiddos room is hard! I can’t work on it at night or at naptime unless they sleep somewhere else. But I am happy with how this turned out! I followed a tutorial by and adjusted some things to fit what we needed! Now I can get his dresser out of his room and make a play space!! On to the next!
