World Fantasy Convention 2023
World Fantasy Convention 2023
26th - 29th October 2023
Kansas City
It's cold and wet tonight in Kansas City, so if you are heading out, wrap up warm.
Do make sure you check out the dealers room and Art show!
There are lots of lovely books and art for sale, so do make sure you pick up some amazing things.
The Art reception is this evening, do come along to meet the artists and find out more about the art. There may even be a refreshment or two available. They don't usually sell art tomorrow, so it will be your last chance to buy things from the Art Show.
If you want to get out of the hotel and see a little of Kansas City, then there is a covered walkway link (from floor E of the hotel) to the Crown Center itself.
At Crown Center you can find shops and Restaurants. It's good for KC souvenirs in particular.
The link continues over to Union Station. Here you can find cafes, the planetarium, science city, cinema, marvel exhibition and the illusion museum.
Outside Union station you can catch the free street car (tram).
One of the stops is at the City library, which is an excellent venue for a photo or two of the giant books. This is actually on the car park, not the main building, so go up 10th past the main entrance.
There is also a stop for the City market. This has a few interesting shops, including 1st level gaming shop, and a number of places to eat.
The river market, at the far end of the street car route has the China Town food market, a diner and other shops.
Registration is open!
This is in the Dragon's Den (Mezzanine floor)
PR3 has been sent out to all attendees. Do check it out to get all your last minute information:
The program is online:

Due to this, it’s also commonly featured in fantasy fiction as well. What are some of those mythological roles? How have authors adapted these myths for their literature?
Emails are going out, with your access to online activities. Worth having a look before the event to check for any login issues.
