If you’re in Overland Park, GO to this event next year. This is the annual GLOW SHOW, held at Blue Valley Athletic Complex, right off 135th Street. This free, public community event is daily friendly and includes lots of fun Halloween themed activities and games for the kiddos. The main attraction are the performances by Blue Valley Northwest High school’s marching band, the Howlin’ Huskies. This year they performed scores from the cult classic movie Top Gun as the lights were cut off on the field and they played in glowing attire. I went to college in Atlanta (nowadays, a looong time ago) and watching school bands compete is a major staple of the south, so it was fun to see what BVNW could do!
