One of the images I captured of the Lunar Eclipse tonight.
Alright Internet... Which of these bird portraits from Labor Day 2019 is the best? Red-tailed hawk 1, Red-tailed hawk 2 or Great horned owl?
Well, It's done...
I am trying my hand at selling my image rights through Getty Images.
I shot a family's Christmas photos for them last night. This morning I shot an abstraction from my daily life.

How to Make Your Last Name Plural This Christmas Season Nothing quells my Christmas cheer as quickly as a stray apostrophe. Every year they assault me. How quaint? This quaint. Usually it’s in the middle of an otherwise quaint moment: I am padding around my parents’ house, wearing pink slippers, sipping on some hot chocolate. Snow is fallin

I have been "challenged."
I will be breaking the chain by failing to challenge any individuals to do this, however if you feel inspired, please take this project upon yourself.

So THIS is apparently a thing that happened...

I hope Austin Bank suffers for their poor judgement in this. If you know anyone who banks there, suggest to them that they might find a better, more humane, bank.
This Woman's Body-Positive Photo Shoot Went Viral, But Then She Got Fired For It “I gave over a year to a company that I worked really hard for and then to have them turn on me for doing something so positive, something that I was so proud of — to help myself as a woman — it was h
I'm too... married... for this to work for me, but I think the concept and results are a really cool experiment in portrait photography!
This Photographer Shot Portraits of Strangers Before and After She Kissed Them “By creating new relationships and learning about the thoughts and ideas of strangers, we might be able to build bridges and combat ignorance and judgement.”
On the 21st of August, 2017 the totality zone of a solar eclipse passed across the U.S. from east coast to west coast, for the first time in 99 years. I was lucky enough to live near enough to where the umbra was passing to be able to photograph it.
Here is my sequence shot from today's solar eclipse. Individual images of the totality and diamond ring shots will be uploaded as well, eventually. The sequence runs from upper right to lower left. Get over it.

In a small photo contest where 11 artists entered 55 images to the jury, 2 of my images were judged to be included in the 4 prize winners yesterday, with my "Nick at Night" long exposure of the J. C. Nichols fountain on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City being the overall winner in the contest.
Just so you all know, I still exist. I still shoot and edit. I have not gone away, nor will I. Just this week I edited a memorial image for a buddy of mine who lost his father this fall. I wouldn't post something that private here, that would be up to the family chose how to share that with and with whom. But I am working on a wordier - less photoy project this year too. I'm going to start asking a question each day and see if I can't get people to give me some interesting responses. The plan for that sparked from a whole sperate family-history related project I'm running with my realiteves this year... I will be a busy boy. Keep following here though, photos are my soul and you will see more here in the new year!
Something I try to keep in mind when shooting... the way the brain interprets what it sees is more important that what is actually there.
One of the most powerful art pieces at this year: the sculpture of two adults fighting, backs to one another...yet the inner child in them both just wants to connect and love one another. Age has so many beautiful gifts, but one that I could live without is the pride and resentment we hold onto when we are in conflict with others. The forgiving, open and free spirit of children IS OUR TRUE NATURE; and I know I'll be remembering this next time I'm feeling stubborn ❤️✨
Tonight on Q, from PRI, I heard about Http://SaveMyInk.com . It is the Web home of the National Association for the Preservation of Skin Art. For $115 down, and $60 per year there after, you can join the NAPSA and have your tattoos permanently preserved upon your passing, as well as a few other member benefits. Membership includes preservation of 1 moderately sized tat. Registering addition ink for safekeeping is a one time charge of $100 each. If your piece is exceptionally large, it's an extra $100.
So what are your thoughts on this? Would you want to bequeath your skin art to someone upon your passing? Would you want to frame and hang the tattoo of a loved one after they've gone?
The National Association for the Preservation of Skin Art NAPSA is non-profit membership association of like-minded tattoo artists and enthusiasts. We provide a wide-array of benefits to the tattoo community.
Yeah, everyone else posted their pix of the moon from last night... the moon was getting no loving tonight though, so I pointed my lens at her and told her she was still beautiful.

Maybe these 5:1 Macro shots will be easier to identify than the rivet off my Stanley tape measure was. If no one has it by tomorrow morning I'll post 2 hint photos... if no one has it by tomorrow night I'll post the 1:1 wider shot.
