Meet Kevin Engelken!

Kevin is a Project Superintendent and has been with Pearce for nearly 16 years. As a superintendent, Kevin is responsible for supervising his jobsite, the crew members on-site, and ensuring that the job is following the correct policies and procedures. He works closely with the project manager to keep the project running smoothly and according to schedule.

Kevin can usually be found up before the sun, working on his farm before heading to the jobsite. We are thankful for Kevin and his years of dedication to Pearce!

Construction is progressing at Unity Village's Goppert Event Center! Currently, we are reroofing the building and the acoustic wall panels are being installed inside. Coming soon: An abundance of stained wall slats on top of the acoustic wall panels!

to our work at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead! Our work there included constructing their iconic red barn entry building. Located in Overland Park, Kansas, Deanna Rose has been a family-friendly attraction since 1978 and in recent years has been recognized as one of the top attractions in the state of Kansas.

We were a finalist for Renovation Project of the Year for the 2024 Builder’s Excellence Awards for our renovation project at The New Reform Temple! Thank you to the whole project team for contributing to this successful project, and thank you to The Builders AGC!

Construction is progressing at Abundant Life Crossroads! Currently, the windows are being installed, demolition for the courtyard has begun, and drywall will be installed soon.

We recently completed construction at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri. This project included renovations of their interior student spaces and an outdoor courtyard.

Meet Maureen Dimon!

Maureen is our Chief Financial Officer and has been with Pearce for 30 years. She oversees all financial operations, working with all Pearce staff along with numerous outside vendors to maintain smooth company and project operations. Maureen is truly unique in her commitment to our team and passionate about everything she does!

Outside of the office, you can find Maureen cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, enjoying a weekend at the lake, or spending time with her husband, children, and new granddaughter.

Yesterday we celebrated the groundbreaking of Cass County Dental Clinic, a dental care facility we are building in Belton, Missouri. Their brand new building will allow more space for them to provide dental care to the thousands of children and teens they treat each year. Construction will be complete early 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on the construction of their brand new building!

Last week, our President/CEO, Darin Heyen, and Chief Operating Officer, Ryan Warman, had the opportunity to attend the AIA Kansas City Leadership Breakfast where we received a special recognition. We look forward to continuing our support for AIA Kansas City for many years to come!

A little rain can't stop us! Our team had a great time this weekend participating in Cass Community Health Foundation's 30th Annual 5k for Health benefitting the Cass County Dental Clinic we are building in Belton, Missouri. Stay tuned for updates on the construction of their brand new building.

This past weekend, the staff and members of Abundant Life held a wall signing event at their Crossroads location which we are currently renovating. They were able to leave messages on the walls and get a sneak peak of their new building which will hold their new counseling and education spaces. Construction is expected to be complete this fall.

Meet Randy Huffman!

Randy is a Project Superintendent and just celebrated 20 years of service to Pearce Construction! As a superintendent, Randy is responsible for supervising his jobsite, the crew members on-site, and ensuring that the job is following the correct policies and procedures. He works closely with the project manager to keep the project running smoothly and according to schedule.

We are thankful for his many years of dedication to our team! In his free time, Randy enjoys being out on the lake fishing and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Construction at First Baptist Church Lee's Summit is complete! This project included renovations to their worship room, lobby/gathering areas, and other spaces in their building.

Renovations at Unity Village's Goppert Event Center, a multi-use space, are making great progress! Currently the drywall is being installed, wallpaper is going up, and ceiling grid is going in. Construction is expected to be complete in September of 2024.

This week, our team took on the tracks at K1 Speed for our first ever Pearce Grand Prix! We enjoyed the friendly competition and spending some time together as a whole team. Congrats to Morgan Brown for being crowned the 2024 champion!

Meet Tony Wilks!

Tony is a licensed architect and earned his Bachelor of Architecture Cum Laude and a Graduate Certificate in Regional and Community Planning from Kansas State University. He has been with Pearce for over four years as a Project Manager where he is responsible for managing all aspects of a project from preconstruction through project completion. Tony works closely with the owner, architect and project superintendent to ensure the best outcome of a project.

Outside of work, Tony is usually helping one of his three kids with a repair project, working in the garage on his 1973 Monte Carlo or his 1982 Corvette Collector’s Edition, or spending time with his wife, Beth, and helping her potty train their new puppy, Hazel.

We recently completed a renovation project at BeeHive Homes, an assisted living & memory care facility in Grain Valley, Missouri. This included renovations to create a secured entry vestibule, a kitchen expansion and remodel, and dining area remodeling. We also remodeled their main living room, staff office spaces and refreshed the residents' hallways.

As one resident told us, "This used to just be a place to stay, but now it feels like home." We are so happy to see the residents and staff enjoying their new spaces!

Construction at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church is coming along! The Pearce team is working to remodel their student spaces including a hang-space/gaming area, worship room, and an outdoor courtyard. Meet Chuck Hartsock!

Chuck has been with Pearce for nearly 22 years. As a Project Superintendent, Chuck is responsible for supervising his jobsite, the crew members on-site, and ensuring that the job is following the correct policies and procedures. Chuck works closely with the project manager to keep the project running smoothly and according to schedule, and communicating with them on a regular basis.

Chuck is known for his fun and energetic personality, always keeping a smile on our faces! Outside of work he can be found enjoying quality time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.

Great progress is being made on phase two of Abundant Life Crossroads campus! Nine feet of brick were added to extend the building height to transform it into a two-story building, steel is being installed, and the interior stairs are now being installed. Mantel Teter Abundant Life

We're nearing the end of renovations at First Baptist Church Lee's Summit! The stage in the worship room, new carpet, and new countertops in the kitchen are all being installed. Construction at Unity Village Goppert Event Center is coming along to transform this traditional auditorium into a tiered multi-use space! Our team has been hard at work getting the underground utilities ran for this new space. The tiered interior concrete floors and ramps have been poured, wall framing is being installed, and a new exterior ramp has been poured for entry access from both levels of the building.

Meet Meredith Ditty!

Meredith is a member of the AIA and earned her Master’s of Architecture from Kansas State University. With seven years of experience as an architectural designer and project manager, Meredith joined Pearce in 2022 as a project manager where she is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction to project completion, as well as working closely with the project superintendent, owner and architect to ensure the best project outcome.

In her free time, Meredith can most likely be found baking and decorating cakes and cheering on the K-State Wildcats and Chiefs with her two dachshunds Lloyd & Marshall.

Our team has been hard at work since construction began in October at Beehive Care Center, an assisted living facility in Grain Valley, renovating their main living area and kitchen/dining room. The Beehive team were thrilled when we were able to surprise them with an early installment of their new countertops in their kitchen!

This past weekend, the members and staff of First Baptist Church Lee's Summit gathered for a floor signing event in their worship room which we are currently renovating. During this special event, they wrote prayers and messages on the floor in dedication of their new space before its completion at the end of March.

2024 has kicked off to a great start with several exciting projects underway including Abundant Life Baptist Church Crossroads Campus (Phase II), First Baptist Church Lee's Summit and Unity Village Goppert Event Center. Last year, we successfully completed construction at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Dorms, Leawood Presbyterian Church and Abundant Life Baptist Church Crossroads Campus (Phase I). We look forward to a great 2024!

Meet Chris Ellis!

Chris has been with Pearce for nearly 10 years. As a superintendent, he is responsible for maintaining a safe job site and communicating regularly with the project manager and architect to ensure the project is running smoothly and on schedule.

Chris has been married to his wife, Emily, for 27 years, and together they have three children. When he’s not on a job site, you can find Chris hunting, fly-fishing, and more recently, putting his skills to work as he builds a new home for his in-laws...now that's dedication!
