Last night, we had a fantastic time collaborating with @arturocomposer for a recording session on his new work “When the Winds Speak,” featuring @j_borja and Hannah Porter-Occena. Today, we welcomed Ladino singer @noam_vazana_music to perform four of her songs with us, arranged by UMKC alumnus Mark Bonner (DMA ‘22). We are excited to welcome Hannah Morrison to the Conservatory as an incoming Wind Conducting DMA student. Hannah comes to us from Baylor University, where she earned her Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees. With a breadth of experience ranging from teaching middle school band to performing with the Disneyland All-American College Band, UMKC Bands is thrilled to have her join Mark Bonner and Anya Pogorelova as the 2021-22 Bands at the Conservatory Wind Conducting Graduate Teaching Assistants.
