I believe in my soul that I was a forest fairy or nature spirit in past lives. Maybe somewhere in another dimension, on another planet, I am one right now. Whatever the scenario may be, I'm forever mesmerized by the mossy greens mingling with earthy metals, swirling in a cascade of overgrowth. Nature's magnificent chaos. I'm seduced by stones that seem to freeze time and space, capturing the most mystical inclusions so that we may escape into the magic of their landscapes. They are portals into what feels like home to me. It is my hope that my work transports you too, into the soul knowledge that you are the same magnificent force of nature.

Just wanted to share the latest showpiece I made for , which debuted last month at his album release performance (go check out his new single on Spotify!!). Calvin went to the gem show with me and hand selected the perfect crystals that matched the colors and iridescence of his gorgeous harp. It only took 2 years for this piece to finally come to fruition, but divine timing knows no time. I wanted to create a versatile piece, of course, so both front and back can be worn together or separate, with either side on the front or back. Each piece can also be worn around his head for a dramatic face covering. Calvin even wire beaded most of the crystal chain himself! Thank you for the centerpiece cutout. I love a good collab and this is definitely a favorite.

It recently occurred to me that 2023 marks 15 years that I've been doing this jewelry gig. 15 YEARS..😲 and this is the first time I've really taken stock of how long it's been. What is time anyway??? And wow.. I've come a long long way. I'll have to dig up some of my first jewelry photos to share with you. They were awful, terribly lit, poorly focused photos I took on my 2 megapixel Canon.. probably the first version of those digital cameras. 😆 Nothing like this pro photo by taken at Lunar New Year. 🙏💖 Stay tuned for a jaunt down memory lane. And thank you all for your support in so many ways!! I'm beyond grateful.

With 2022 coming to a close, I wanted to take a moment to express how deeply grateful I am to still be doing what I love. And I wouldn't be able to do any of it without YOUR support and encouragement! Every bit of it fills me with joy...seeing you wear my pieces, sharing them on social, liking, commenting and sharing posts, and all your kind words throughout the years..it all means so much to me. It only just occurred to me that 2023 will mark 15 YEARS that NV Dedigns has been around!! Whatttt!!! My jewelry brand has evolved from very humble beginnings and I have the terrible 2 megapixel photos to prove it. 😆🤣 Maybe that should be a post in itself.

I'm very excited to continue to evolve as a jewelry artist and 2023 will see some new fun designs!! I'm taking the first few months to just create what's been brewing in my head for years. It's time for those pieces to live and breathe. I'm trying to learn some new techniques and skills (sand casting is at the top of my list). I'll share the process as I go (that's another thing I'd like to get better at this year). I'm also retiring some designs so grab what you can before it's gone forever.
