What an amazing time in Cape Town South Africa!
On day 2 we toured Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.
There was so much we learned about the island/prison, our tour guide was an inmate in the late 80's which made it more special and heavy at the same time.

11-year-old children were put in prison with a 5-year sentence for throwing rocks at the police.

60 men had 3 showers to share, having to rise early to get showered before a specific time.

If you go to Cape Town make this a must-do on your list.

Tip: the ferry ride over can be rough, so if you get motion sickness please take something.
