Check out this comparison opinion piece that our Vice President did with the President of the UNK Young Democrats about the upcoming presidential election!
“The next president will potentially have the opportunity to nominate up to three Supreme Court Justices. Because Supreme Court Justices serve a lifelong term, those Justices will set the political environment on the Court for generations after the next president is out of office. It is essential that we elect a trustworthy president who will nominate justices whom firmly support the United States Constitution and won’t make activist decisions.”

Nebraska GOP politicians: Get out and vote for Trump
UNK College Republicans in the news! "Abigail Richling, a freshman at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, was one of four young women to sit in the front row of the meeting to learn about Trump. Richling said she will vote for Trump because he’s charismatic and a good leader. “I believe he’s the only candidate that will make America great again,” she said.

Nebraska Democrats decided not to participate in the bobblehead election, but Nebraska Republicans did. Even College Republicans from University of Nebraska at Kearney made the trip to Lincoln to campaign -- and with a lot of effort -- standing at the front of both lines with Trump boxes in hand asking, "Would you like a Trump bobblehead?" "I'm a little disappointed Nebraska Democrats didn't come out to this event," said Marilyn Synek, a junior and leader of College Republicans at UNK. "Maybe it could make it more competitive if they were trying to hand out bobbleheads, but I think a lot of Nebraskans support Trump."

Ronald Reagan A Soldiers Pledge Listen Learn Remember
As the 4th of July approaches, and we prepare for a weekend full of potato salad, peach tea, and fireworks, take few minutes to listen to this incredible speech by President Ronald Reagan. 240 years ago, our founding forefathers declared America's independence from Great Britain and birthed an exceptional new country. Today, the United States is still the best nation on earth because of the sacrifices our service men and women have made for our liberty and freedom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt8y18YFH70
A very inspirational speech by Ronald Reagan. This is what a President is supposed to sound like. Listen, learn and remember who we are!

We voted for chicken, not PC
An editorial piece from our Vice President Marilyn Synek about the Chick-Fil-A controversy: "If believing in traditional marriage is the discriminatory corporate value which a few UNK students found offensive, steps should be taken to educate all students on campus about the distinctive differences between homophobia/discrimination and personal conservative beliefs for traditional marriage. The bottom line is the student body voted to bring a Chick-Fil-A to the student union. UNK should not discriminate against a restaurant for having Christian, conservative corporate officials. If the UNK student body wants to eat delicious fillet sandwiches, let them eat chicken!"
kearneyhub.com On Jan. 19, a survey was sent out to the University of Nebraska at Kearney student body asking students to voice their opinions concerning their preference on a new restaurant in the UNK Student Union. Students had the option to choose between Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, IHOP or A&W. Students engage…
