Does anyone remember this frame? Everyone liked them! But they didn’t quite match up exact to anyone’s face. Then Sally walked directly over to them & in 3 seconds flat we both knew they were home. Fun fact about Sally: She has cat eyed frames & red hand painted super square frames I did for her too. She pulls off a range of shapes so easy-she’s so lucky!

Frank rocks out gray green. I looked up all the colors in this color family after he picked up his glasses. It’s just such a smooth color. Or maybe I’m just a nerd & love researching color info.

Fun fact: These frames are so strong & so light but %1000 percent NON adjustable Bamboo. Because of that it’s gotta be a perfect fit/or a bit on the snug side.

For my retired sweet customers this is a great place to donate some evenings to if you are close to Union Grove Wi. It’s only about a half hour ish ride from kenosha. This place is amazing. This is the place I always tell you guys that Rockit contributes to financially whenever possible through sales. Share this if you can, or contact them if you can directly help. I LOVED these frames @ the shop. They sorta lived w/me because everyone wanted them but got scared off w/the bold polka dots/coral & pink combo.
I regularly wait for the exact right face for many frames @ Rockit. But I was surprised this pair took so long to find its face home.
One day a really cool, independent, good hearted woman by the name of Karla showed up. Talk about an INSTANT perfect match. Today she picked them up!I can’t wait for you guys to see her around town in them…You most definitely will recognize this pair!
Lenses : We finished them w/a polarized Varilux Physio lens design so her eyes would have a smooth ride in her progressives.

These are hefty Cazal Sunglasses. Personally not a fan of the look of Cazal glasses but I obtained these for a customer who really wanted them. Cazal is famous for heavy gold nose pieces & temples. (VERY HEAVY) My curiosity was spiked as I tried to figure out the allure of them. Here’s my findings.

They are actually not a cheap frame brand despite that sorta “overkill fake look.”
Cari Zalloni & business partner Günter Böttcher founded Cazal in 1975 as a luxury company based in Germany but Imports to the USA started in the late 70’s.

Cazal sunglasses are key memorabilia of the early hip hop era. Iconic in 1980’s hip hop culture. (Sadly the cause of some street muggings then too.)

They were worn by hip hop artists Run DMC,the Fat Boys, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Rick Ross (who actually has a facial tattoo of the Cazal logo) & Will.I.Am.
Bonus : Spike Lee wore the 616 style in the film She's Gotta Have It.

This pair was a special order for a mild mannered guy by the name of Lee. They seem clunky on the shelf but on him they looked right. He is tall & confident- very calm. Maybe it was the cool factor.

No matter how cute you look in your glasses from Rockit you can’t look cuter than Nigel in glasses from Rockit. It’s just not physically or spiritually possible.

Eat my shorts big box opticals! You don’t do 8 pm house calls to fix broken glasses & try to return them same night when someone sits on their new pair n breaks them dooooo you ?? I l still struggle w/ how to spell thier. I should have thought that word through before I tried to post this haa. I think it’s ei not ie… or is it….

Coolest human ever Morgan introduced me 2 Avulux lenses. They market themselves towards extreme migrane customers or very light sensitive individuals. The only clinically proven lenses for migraine & light sensitivity. Morgan SWEARS by these lenses. By sheer luck-my lab is one of the only places in the U.S who carry it!
The catch is this lens is COUGH UP A HAIRBALL EXPENSIVE. (But you can use FSA/HSA.) Plus there are some hoops Rockit can (& will) jump through this summer w Avulux to try & shave off a few $’s for customers in the future. Anyhow since it’s a true help for some - it’s worth the investment it seems.
The warranties/extended help w/ Rockit was a better deal than the other way-so we took the plunge together on this nifty migrane lens.
They turned out awesome looking w the frame pick! (See the tint? That’s a very specific Avulux coloring on the lenses)

Has anyone else ever done Avulux lenses before? Like? Don’t like? (this isn’t an FL41 lens.)

If glasses could transform into a human this pair is def a cool person!
If that person could morph back 2 a pair of glasses I’d compliment the light reactive slim profile progressives & frame……
If it accidentally got stuck as a human forever while trying 2 transform back into glasses I would just say “I really like your brown eyes.”

(It’s not even 9 a.m & I screwed up your brain.)

Some fancy footwork in the world of custom lenses. Who it helped? Someone w/ light sensitivity. It’s a FL41 specialty tinted lens (for light sensitivity)+polarized (cuts horizontal glare) w/the addition of a violet mirror: extra anti reflection; color picked for fashion- on a gray base. (Aids in natural tones when u look out) The tint & the polarization can be tweaked but we r starting w this. There is backside anti glare as well. Why? It will eliminate those reflections that bounce back into your eye from the backside of the lens. (like when you notice the reflection of your own eye in the summer on the inside of your sunglass lens.) These are on a trial run w/ her as we speak. Some people say give me basics. Some people say while we are fixing vision concerns let’s do it in a fun way.

My brilliant, talented & soon u will see why I say hilarious friend Tammy came in 2nite 2 pick up her glasses. To check the lenses I handed her this book & asked her if she can read it. She said the whole thing? 😂 So I said yes cover to cover.
@ Rockit we will make u read a whole book standing up & if u can’t we will say the glasses don’t work & take them back.

Sooo one of the nicest things! I was helping someone 2day @ Rockit, I looked down & the candy dish which was DEF empty in the morning MAGICALLY had chocolates in it! I said did u fill that? I asked it but even as I asked I was thinking like how could she have??? She said YES!
I didn’t even see it happen! When I opened I saw it empty n wished I could fill it 4 them b4 they showed up. Instead they filled it 4 me! 🥰. Fun fact: I LOVE this little candy dish! It was a gift from Enlightened Eye Care…who ironically ALSO hid it in my shop one day 4 me to discover. 🤣

Got some new fancy art tools 2 customize & finalize new frames 4 the brave ones of u who will wear my crazy art frames! BUT OH TORTURE I CAN’T TOUCH IT. I have like FOUR STRAIGHT days of paperwork (math😖) I hafta finish @ work b4 I get 2 dive into the fun pool. ⏰….🏊‍♀️
