Gateway's Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement 720 Academy students recently took part in an important training session that could help them in their future careers! Gateway Nursing instructor Emily Goodhall taught the students how to successfully deliver a baby in an emergency situation using one of the college's high-fidelity human patient simulators in our state-of-the-art training lab on the Kenosha Campus.

Gateway Marketing associate degree graduate Marilyn Gonzalez came to the college to learn a new language, and she stayed to build a new career.
“I didn’t know English until I came to Gateway and started taking English Language Learners courses. When I finished that, I decided to take college classes, so I enrolled in the Marketing program,” says Marilyn. “Gateway helped me become the person I am today. It wasn’t easy for me going in, but the resources at Gateway and the community here made me feel like I could do this. They were so supportive.”

Gateway’s Step UP program gives students the academic and career guidance needed to succeed, reducing barriers to employment for individuals who work part or full time, but do not make enough for a family-sustaining wage.
“Step UP made me step up,” says Step UP program participant and IT-Computer Support Specialist program student Castrena Woods. “It’s a community here, and those staff members understand you, relate to you, and they made me feel like it was okay to be in college as a single mother. They kept me motivated and focused.”

If you're a student in Financial Aid - Suspension Needing Appeal (SNA) status for not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements, you must complete a SAP Appeal form to have your financial aid eligibility reinstated.

Gov. Tony Evers today highlighted the release of the second Clean Energy Plan Progress Report during a visit today to Gateway Technical College's Center for Sustainable Living on its Kenosha Campus. He toured the center's grounds, took a walk on its nature trail and learned how it has become an educational site for students and the community to learn about green living.
The progress report released today showcases Wisconsin’s progress towards minimizing greenhouse gas emissions through the implementation of clean energy sources while working to create thousands of new jobs and lowering energy bills and prices for working families across Wisconsin.
