1957 - 2020
) Jim, 62, passed away on February 10, 2020 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family. Jim attended St. Paul's Elementary and Hoban High School, Akron Univ., and graduated as a Sheet Metal Journeyman and Licensed Building Inspector. Jim was a sheet metal journeyman for Wooster Sheet Metal for 20+ years and recently retired from Rubber City/Liberty Harley Davidson for 18 years in the sales department. Jim was preceded in death by father, Fred and brother-in-law, Tod Fisher. Jim is survived by son, Nicholas (Amy), grandson Dominic, granddaughter, Isabella; mother, Shirley (Karl); and sister, Lisa Fisher (Donnie). Special thanks to the Medical Staff at Akron General Medical Center NICU, CCU, MICU and 4100 floor for their impeccable care. Memorial service will be on February 29th at 10 a.m. at St Paul's Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron. Light refreshments following service from noon to 2 p.m. at GAMC Clubhouse, 1540 Smith Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Paws & Prayers Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 67166, Cuy. Falls, OH 44222-7166.

Please read second post after this one...Prayers needed for Jimmy Dickinson, Aka Tiny (The Bouncer), Slim, as said by his sister Lisa Fisher, and Nick Dickinson...🙏🏼♥️...So the story behind Jim Dickinson’s nicknames. First off a little story. So my brother and mum are from England. Dad and I were born here in the states. Hundreds of years ago some English people were on a boat in the Atlantic and all that they had to eat were limes to fight off scurvy so they were called Limey’s. So the neighborhood boys found out and started calling him Slimey Limey which got shortened to Slim. He was also known back in his 20’s when he was a bouncer at Filthy McNasty’s, The Flying Machine, Akron/Cleveland Agora’s and Great American Security as Tiny. I just call him Little Jimmi even though he is older than me!

Those of you who are looking for Akron Agora T-Shirts they have a page...I would request them from them...The person on here who said he had t-shirts was going to have new ones made up...but never got back with us..I'm sure they have them...we should make up our own t-shirts from back in the day...Anyone have a old T-Shirt from back then...I think it says Staff on the back of them....?....
