Our Story

In 1989 MagEyes headband magnifiers were originally designed by a lady who saw the need for a more "user friendly and more comfortable" hands free magnifier.

She began the task of designing something she could use comfortably and that set the basis for the Original MagEyes.

At the time, the only headband magnifier on the market was heavy, uncomfortable, hooded over the eyes (not a good thing for they eyes as it blocks needed light for your eyes to function comfortably) and it "screwed" the band around your head, yikes!!

MagEyes headband magnifier was designed to address all the uncomfortable issues above.

1. Lightweight - weighs less than a bottle of nail polish! And because our lenses are made from virgin acrylic, like prescription glasses, they also help the headband to stay lightweight.
2. MagEyes comfort is in the lightweight, flex-frame headband that neither "screws" on the head OR catches the hair in the headband!
3. MagEyes omitted the "hood" over the eyes to allow much needed light for the eyes for fine detail work; thus, helping to relieve eye strain.
4. MagEyes Flex-Frame headband gently spreads to comfortably fit around the head without the "screw down" band around the head that is tight, uncomfortable and catches the hair.

Today, there a several types of MagEyes:

MagEyes also added the original design HatEyes Clip on Hat magnifiers for the outdoors person. Whether fly fishing, bass fishing, archery, gun sighting, etc. HatEyes offers the hands free usage as the MagEyes but the "mobile" aspect of clipping the HatEyes to the brim of a cap, hat or sun-visor is so liberating!! And finally, MagEyes brought to the MagEyes family, Body-Rite, The Posture Pleaser. Body-Rite, The Posture Pleaser was not an invention of MagEyes, but the actual inventor contacted MagEyes, Inc to entertain the idea of taking on the manufacturing and distributing along with our magnifiers. And the two types of products do "marry" well. We have found that the same people needing, using and enjoying MagEyes magnifiers ALSO need, use and enjoy the benefits of Body-Rite, The Posture Pleaser for their work, hobbies, health, etc.

So here we have a small All American Made company that is still manufacturing, packaging and selling their products all over the U.S.A., Europe, Russia, Mexico, Australia, etc. Such an American dream come true.
