Janet’s Surgery and Recovery

Wanted to post a quick update. Mom has been moved from Encompass in Kingsport to Princeton in Johnson City to continue her rehab. Thank you for continued prayers!

Mom got moved to step down today. She was showing signs of infection in her lungs that is being treated with medicine. Thanks for the continued prayers as she will have a long road to recovery.

Dad just let me know that they have mom awake and off of the ventilator. She is breathing good on her own. The nurse said she is doing good. Thank you for your continued prayers!

Mom has made it out of surgery. Doctor said she did great but it was a hard surgery. She will be in recovery for awhile. Thank you for all the prayers. They have been answered and felt by us. Please continue to pray for mom as her recovery will be a lengthy process. But for now we are thankful that the first hurdle (surgery) is behind her.

We are probably looking at 3 more hours. We will post another update in the morning. Thank you for your continued prayers.

We just received another update. Surgery still going good. The doctor believes he will finish the procedure in 30 mins and another hour and half to finish. So we are looking at two more hours. They said everything was still going good. Thanks for the continued prayers.

Janet’s surgery is still going well, but is taking longer than expected. She’s still doing good. Thanks again for the sweet messages and prayers today!

This is Andy. Received another update. Everything is going good so far and the doctors are still working. Still going to be awhile they said. Thank you for the continued prayers.

Janet is in surgery and everything is going well so far. It’s supposed to be a 10-12 hour surgery. Please keep David in your prayers!

We know so many of you love her and are keeping her and David in your prayers… that means more than you know. I will update this page as Janet’s surgeons update the family.
