Congratulations to Avalon Hospice RN, Daniel White, who recently received the Hospice Caregiver Award for June, presented by Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services in Kingsport, TN.

Patient caregivers write in and nominate hospice staff for exceptional service to their loved ones. One caregiver wrote, “Daniel White deserves this award. I know because I care for one of his patients. When you call, he will come 24/7. He explains everything in a way you can understand. He is caring, loving, kind, and a wonderful nurse."

A second patient’s family wrote in and stated, “Daniel developed a loving and caring relationship with my father early on. My dad trusted him with his care. Daniel showed concern and love to both of my parents and took time to listen to each. Daniel was always patient and attentive. Dad trusted that when it was his time to pass from this world, Daniel would make the right decisions and keep him from suffering. I cannot thank him enough for his care and will forever be grateful to him."

A third family wrote, “Daniel is an incredible caregiver, so warm and caring. When we admitted my mother to hospice, we instantly felt supported and cared for. He was always conscientious in his caregiving and was always available to give help."

Thank you Daniel for all you do and the loving service you provide to your patients.
