Let’s stop this epidemic of Fentanyl overdoses. Carry Narcan and save a life.
Over the past four years co***ne related fatality more than doubled. Fentanyl is being combined into co***ne, bringing a rise to overdose and deaths in our counties. Test your drugs before using call us at 845-522-5767 and we can get you fentanyl test strips.
Unfortunately all of our posts have been getting reported and removed from IG for ‘community guideline violations’. De-stigmatizing messages surrounding drugs and the people who use them are not promoting the sales or use of substances! It’s important to acknowledge that people are worthy of love, support, care, and affirmations regardless of what they are doing in their own lives. Support - don’t punish!!

The Ulster County Outreach Program, in collaboration with the Ulster County Department of Health , is excited to tell you about our Naloxbox program! Naloxboxes are wall-mounted metal boxes (similar to AED rescue boxes) placed in locations accessible to the public that hold doses of Narcan (naloxone). Narcan is a medication that can reverse the effects of opioids and restore someone’s breathing who is experiencing an opioid overdose. Overdoses do occur in public spaces. Just like AEDs and first aid kits, we want everyone to be ready and able to help each other when medical emergencies occur in our communities.
We’re looking for locations to place naloxboxes and would love to know what you think would be a good location! Please tag any business that you think would be a good home for a naloxbox so we can get in touch with them!
Fentanyl DOES NOT mix evenly into your drugs! It tends to chunk up. One side of a pressed pill or baggie may have no fentanyl and the other side may have a fatal dose of fentanyl. This is called the chocolate chip cookie effect. The best m**hod to combat this is to TEST EVERYTHING YOU INTEND TO CONSUME! If you can only test a portion, make sure everything is crushed into a fine powder and mixed well to try and break up any clumps of fentanyl that could be in the drug. This will help you get a better cross-section of what’s in the bag/pill for your test sample.
If you or anyone around you is taking drugs that could contain fentanyl, even if it’s been tested. We recommend you keep Narcan on hand and get trained to use it. We want you to be as safe as you can be.
Call/text us at (914) 610-5324 or DM us for Narcan/fentanyl test strips/safer drug use supplies for free in Ulster county!

SAFE SUPPLY SAVES LIVES!
Evidence based practice shows that access to a safe, predictable drug supply drastically reduces overdose fatalities, drug poisoning, and drug related illness and infection.
When you can't be sure if your substances are safe, there are harm reduction tools and supplies (like starting slow, carrying naloxone and using fresh pipes) that can make it a little safer.
