Daley Obedience
Dog obedience training including behavior modification. Dog boarding. Kennel. Daycare.
This happy boy is Bailey. He is here for our day train program. Bailey is a Rottweiler/ Shepherd mix who is VERY friendly. His family needs help getting him to listen to basic commands, stop jumping and understand how to turn “off”.
Stella, a 5 month old Golden Doodle, finished our day train program yesterday. She did great!
What we worked on:
All her basics; sit, down, stay, come, leave it, drop it
Outdoor engagement
Start of leash manners
Jumping (or really trying to stop her jumping)
Our day train program is a great way to get your dogs some extra training as well as add in consistency. This program is also a great way to get your dog used to kennels and boarding.
Our day train program also includes in person private sessions for the owners so you are learning as much as your dog!
Interested in a program like Stella’s or have questions? Reach out and let us know!
Happy 4th!!! Let’s make it a safe and enjoyable holiday for everyone!

We had a blast this past week! Now we’re rejuvenated and ready to get back to work. We are working through both the waiting list and new inquiries. Everyone will be scheduled in the order the request came in. Please allow us a few days to get back to everyone. We thank you for your patience as well as your continued support!
Just a reminder that we are closed this week! Mark and I will be on the river all week fishing. Phone calls and e-mails will be returned at our convenience. Thank you for trusting us with your dogs!
A desperate plea from the girl that’s been here since January….
In 5 months this girl has managed to get over 2,000 shares. In 5 months this girl has had numerous inquiries from those shares. In 5 months 5 applications came from those inquiries, and in 5 months those applications led to 2 failed meet and greets.
Being a young purebred pup in rescue should make it easy to find a forever family, but in the case of Blueberry that is not reality. This 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog is true to her breed. You will not find a more loyal pup. Blueberry loves her people, making it easy to build on training and bonding skills. Doggy playtime is certainly one of her favorite activities along with puzzle games and snuffle mats. Blueberry is quite enthusiastic when meeting new pups so she will need a slow introduction to new canine friends. Unfortunately her herding instinct makes her incompatible with cats. Blueberry is a great girl and an exceptional companion. She is hoping her forever family will finally find her so she can start her happily ever after! If you believe you could be the family for Blueberry email [email protected] today!

It’s can be very frustrating when we set a big goal for ourselves knowing it will take a long time to achieve it. Unfortunately attempting to speed these things up ends up slowing down our progress most times! Instead of focusing on the years it might take to get where you want to be, try setting smaller more attainable goals to focus on. Even tiny every day habits can lead to a huge success!
Meet Fion (Finn) and Lulu! Our newest day trains who started today. Finn is leash reactive. Lulu needs help with recall. They both need their basics touched up. We will also be working on jumping up on people!
First day here we are just letting them get used to the place. We’ve done some clicker conditioning and lots of play.
New puppy? New rescue dog? We’ve got a group class for you! Whether your new dog is a puppy or an adult you picked up from the shelter, we have information you’ll need and skills to teach! Call today to reserve your spot!

If you’re just driving by, stop in! We’ll be collecting donations all day!
Matt is a volunteer firefighter who has been dedicated to his community for years. While directing traffic for a road closure, he was struck by a vehicle and sustained severe injuries. So now we are asking the community for help to raise money for his family.
On Sunday 3/24 we will be offering some leash classes and private training sessions. We ask for a minimum donation of $25 per person for the group class and $40 minimum for the private sessions. All money raised will go directly to the Sutton family.
If you don’t have a dog, or just want to donate, please see the Go Fund Me link https://gofund.me/c3a94041 or stop by Daley Obedience on Sunday.
If you signed up for the online obedience program, I just sent an email. Check your spam folders if you don’t see it.
Still want to sign up? Let me know! We start Monday!

Should we start a series of cool things we get on the trail camera????
I understand how hard it is when you’re learning something new and you are afraid to make a mistake. This absolutely applies to dog training as well. You're learning how to juggle your leash, clicker, treats, timing, verbal cues, leash pressure.... It's a LOT!!!!!
Here are some things I want you to keep in mind:
Even us professional trainers had to start somewhere. There was a time we were just as clumsy and unsure of ourselves.
As long as you are putting your best effort in and staying consistent, your doing great!
HAVE FUN!!! You and your dog should be having a good time! It's ok to be silly, get loose, have some fun! Of course there is a time to be more serious, but who wants to be serious all the time??
The more fun you have with it, the more likely you become more interesting to your dog. Engagement comes easy when your dog wants in on the action!!
Ashe will be starting our Day Train program in March! He’ll be coming 3 days a week to get a great head start!
One of the main things we will focus on is socialization. This doesn’t mean that we will be introducing him to a bunch of dogs and people, although he will meet some. It means we will expose him to new sounds, smells, textures, sights etc.
We will also start working on food luring and getting his body to move into sit/down positions using that lure. We will also use the lure to get him moving next to us, starting to promote loose leash behaviors. He’ll also get some desensitization to body handling, grooming practices.
Follow us to see this little beautiful baby grow and learn!

We are pleased to announce that we offering an alternative to the typical weekly session training. We have seen happier clients and dogs responding well to this new program.
Gone are the days of group class trainings that don’t help you with your individual dog. With shorter focused sessions and less time in between, you are able to see results in a less time.
This program also keeps you on track. Let’s face it, you start with all good intentions but a week is a long time to stay consistent. You have less opportunity to “fall off” if you’re seeing us regularly!
We can come to you, or you can come to our training facility located on Route 28 in Kingston.
