Today the First "Uncle Bobs Memorial Scholarship" softball tournament took place, and we can't thank everyone enough. Thanks for coming out and donating your time and money for such an important event. Especially in honor of such a spectacular human who did so much for our community. We truly appreciate this from the bottom of our hearts!

All knothole players please show up and support this great cause!!! There will be food raffles and softball a team of old league players that will be on the field to support this cause . Come on down say hello and have some fun!! You all know he would be there to support you!!!!!

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to see if you and your business would be interested in sponsoring the first annual Uncle Bob Memorial Tournament and Fundraiser softball event. This tournament will honor his dedication to the community by giving back in his name. We will raise monies to give several students in the Kingston City School district a chance at a college scholarship.
Robert Boughton Sr. (Bob) was an extraordinary man who dedicated his life to serving his community and the children and families that were a part of it. He was a police officer for the Kingston Police Department for 25 years until his retirement when he spent the next 30 years of his life driving for the Ethan Allen Bus Company to continue his dedication to the children and families. He was a member of A.H. Wicks Hose, East Kingston Fire Department, an officer of the Kingston Exempt Fire Fighters Association, Kingston Bowling Association, and an inductee in the Hall of Fame. Bob was on the Board of Directors for Ulster County Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a member of the St. Mary’s Benevolent Society. Through all these accomplishments, Bob’s most dedicated commitment was to the Metropolitan Knothole Little League where he spent over sixty years of his life. From a player at the age of ten to devoting his time by becoming a coach, a groundskeeper, funds raiser and then league President, Bob spent each night along with his family, serving the youth of the community. He always made sure the children had a safe, free place to play ball.
In addition to your contribution, we will advertise your business name on our tournament t-shirts and as a thank you for your support, we will include a t-shirt for your establishment. The support you provide is the driving force behind the success of honoring the legacy that Bob spent his whole life dedicated to… the children, the families, the community.
