Maple was happy to meet another big Pyrenees this afternoon. In other firsts, a dragonfly flew in my van window and hit me in the neck while driving, so that was exciting 🤪

Yep, I'm just a childless dog dude. 😉

Surprisingly Lupin didn't mind when Maple basically laid down on him. 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️

I guess Tucker thought it was funny when I told him that Finn could possibly challenge him for the pack super pooper title 🏆

Lupin helped me work on Maple's van etiquette this afternoon. Maple did a good job laying down in the back with Lupin during her ride home after the walk. 👏🏻

Today was a great day to ombambulate 🚶🏻‍♂️🐕‍🦺
Thanks to Halo's nearby neighbor for providing us with a new word to describe our walks. They have a word of the week whiteboard and today we noticed that it said "ombambulate", which means to walk in a leisurely way. 📕

Beau always lays in the grass for picture time. Maple seems content to lay pretty much anywhere to rest during picture time.

If you're thinking that Maple always looks so calm, you should see her crazy excitement when I pick her up 🤪 She's making progress though and we're working on waiting for calm behavior. Her leash skills have already improved significantly and she is no longer trying to jump, bite at the leash, or blitz 👏🏻

"Wow, are they all yours? They're all so good!"
This was my favorite passerby comment of the day. I also enjoyed "OMG look at that dog walker on the right!" My master's degree in civil engineering certainly never prepared me for this kind of attention. I mean, I never heard anyone say, "OMG look at that guy carrying jugs of wastewater into the engineering building again", even if they were thinking it. 🤪

I used to hate doing my annual performance reviews when I was an engineer, so that's definitely one thing I don't miss from my previous job. Thankfully, leaving a quick review online should be much simpler, and I can offer incentives for current clients!

It was cloudy all day right up until we took this picture, so Brophy insisted that we move to the shade. He's not a sunbathing Pyr like his brother Lupin.

After more than a month we finally got the regular Tuesday/Thursday morning crew back together!

We're excited to have Maple starting walks this week! Maple was recently adopted by her foster through 🐾 🎸

This was our most interesting snippet of overheard conversation from passing cyclists this morning. Mostly I just hear the audible passing alerts or the comments about all the dogs. 🚴🏻‍♂️

In both pack pictures, Rusty demonstrates his preference for standing. Everyone else wanted to lay in the shady grass this morning.

You can tell we haven't had much rain here for awhile. The packs were happy to be back in the 70s this week after a long streak of 80+ degree days. ☀️
