FABULOUS night last night at The Grape Choice! Beautiful community presence and was blessed with the sounds of Marge Eiseman and Billy Brandt sitting in on vocals, as well as Will Stump sitting in on bass! With Hans Brehmer on keys, everything was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Friend to SRJO, Julian Priester is recovering nicely from the heart attack he experienced on July 4th, but will need continued care, so a benefit will be held Monday night, September 25, at Jazz Alley in Seattle with the great Christian McBride as emcee.

Thomas Marriott will be Music Director for the evening. The Seattle Jazz Fellowship ‘Ceptet under his direction will be performing the compositions of Julian Priester. “Priester’s Cue, with Dawn Clement, Byron Vannoy, Geoff Harper, plus special guests will make this a celebration of Julian Priester.

SRJO wishes Julien a speedy recovery, and we hope you can attend and show your support.
