✨ LIVE IT OUT | How to Wreck Your Life ✨
Northshore was alive yesterday! As we prepare for Community Serve Day on the 25th and the upcoming Mill Creek launch on 9/22, the excitement in our community continues to build. Our time this summer reflecting on the complex story of the life of David has been stretching and so encouraging. Wolfgang’s message was a powerful exploration of the dangers of spiritual drift and the importance of pursuing spiritual practices in our faith journey.
At Northshore, we're passionate about living out our faith in real, tangible ways. Our Community Serve Day is a perfect example, with over 30 schools and more than 20,000 teachers and students impacted. It's our biggest event of the year, and we couldn't be more excited! Sign up today at www.communityserveday.org
Whether you're a long-time member or new to the family, there's a place for you here. We're committed to growing together in faith, spreading God's love, and seeing Jesus change everything for anyone. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us next!
Your Discouragement Plan
1) Go to God: Seek solace and strength by turning to God in times of distress.
2) Recognize your discouragement patterns: Identify the recurring negative thoughts and behaviors that hinder your spiritual growth.
3) Act out of your strengths and gifts: Utilize your unique talents and abilities to serve God and others.
4) Consider the end: Reflect on the ultimate victory of Jesus and allow your actions to be motivated out of your restored relationship with the Father.
5) Encourage others: Uplift and inspire those around you on their spiritual journey, fostering a supportive community of believers.
When discouragement knocks at your door daily, how do you respond?
😎 FUN IN THE SUNDAY RECAP | Live It Out ☀️
Sunday was an incredible day filled with spiritual growth, community, and celebration! Pastor Scotty brought a powerful message on finding encouragement in the Lord, continuing to draw inspiration from the life of King David. We were reminded that discouragement is universal, but with a strong faith and an encouragement plan rooted in God's love, we can overcome any challenge.
We also had a FUNtastic time celebrating the conclusion of our SCUBA Kids Summer Adventure! The day was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories as families enjoyed ice cream, bouncy houses, and a tons of fun activities. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of community and the blessings that come from sharing our faith journey together.
We are so grateful for all who joined us this Sunday and can't wait to see what the coming weeks have in store as we continue to grow in our faith and support one another on this transformative journey. See you next week!
Sunday was an unforgettable opportunity to grow deeper in relationship with Jesus! The moment we stepped into the courtyard for some cold brew we knew it was going to be a special day. The energy was electric as we gathered together, made new connections, and celebrated the love of Jesus.
Worship was a beautiful reminder of the transformative power of God's goodness and compassion, and the ways it connects us all. Pastor Kiki's message took us even deeper, challenging us to confront our spiritual struggles and grow in our relationship with Jesus. Continuing the “Live It Out” series, Psalm 63 resonated deeply, providing support from the life of David and the comfort of knowing we're never alone in our longings.
Many left refreshed, inspired, and ready to take on the week, walking closely with Jesus as our comfort and strength through—not in spite of—our feelings and experiences. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us as we continue to walk this path together!
Forgiveness can and will change everything—including who we are. 👐
LIVE IT OUT | Formed Through Forgiveness 🌳💕
Today's sermon inspired us to embrace forgiveness and deepen our relationships through Christ's love. Together, we reflected on the power of grace to heal past hurts and foster stronger connections. 🤝
Afterward, laughter and warmth filled the courtyard as our community gathered over cold brew coffee. Moments like these remind us of the joy found in our church family. 🥰

🙌 LIVE IT OUT | Why the Wilderness Matters 🙌
We had a beautiful Sunday at Northshore! Our congregation came together to celebrate child dedications, as Pastor David Choi delivered an inspiring message on "Why the Wilderness Matters" from 1 Samuel 24:1-7. The sermon showed that the wilderness symbolizes a transformative period in life where God refines us through challenges, shaping us for His purpose. He highlighted the importance of trusting in God’s plan over personal ambitions.
The wilderness seasons, though difficult, are crucial for our spiritual growth, teaching us to lean on God and trust in His purpose. Let's carry these lessons into our week, remembering that God is with us in our toughest times, shaping us into who He wants us to be.
Join us for our first-ever prayer service at Ruby Bridges in two weeks! If you'd like to join or pray with us, simply comment "MC" or sign up for the launch team at northshore.church/millcreek. We look forward to welcoming you into our growing Mill Creek launch team community!
This summer with Northshore, we're dedicated to building meaningful connections and drawing strength from God through one another to face life's challenges. In our recent message, "Run to the Battle," we learned the importance of faith in overcoming our obstacles and transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary outcomes.
As we move forward, let's remember that God is with us in every battle, and by coming together as a community, we can support and uplift each other in our journeys of faith. Share your experiences and grow alongside one another by signing up for our Summer Meet Ups at northshore.church/meetups. Together, we can create a strong and resilient community that overcomes any "giant" that comes our way. "If God delivered you then, He can deliver you now!" 🙏
SUNDAY RECAP | Reflecting God’s Purpose 🙌
Kicking off our new series “Live It Out,” today's sermon on "The Chosen Life" has left us in awe of God's amazing grace and purpose. Just like David, who was chosen despite his imperfections, we are reminded that God’s love is not based on our accomplishments but on His divine plan. As we honor our graduates embarking on new journeys and celebrate fathers who guide us with wisdom and love, we see how each stage of life is part of God's unique plan for us. This message encourages us all—whether starting new chapters or reflecting on our roles—to embrace our paths, knowing that we are chosen by God not for what we do, but for who we are. Let's strive to cultivate hearts that seek God's will in all aspects of our lives, just as David did.
Excited to make new connections and deepen your relationships this summer? Join our Summer Meet Ups by texting "SummerWithNorthshore" to 97000! 🌟 CELEBRATION SUNDAY | The Power of Praying People! 🌟
Northshore Family!! 👋
We had such a great Celebration Sunday reflecting on the incredible power of prayer in our lives and our community!
The message was all about how God invites us to ask boldly. Whether it’s a small need or a big dream, He wants us to come to Him in prayer. We learned that prayer doesn’t just deepen our bond with God—it also brings us closer as a church family.
We were so moved by the real-life stories of Brooke, Felicia, and Natalya:
💥Brooke discovered new purpose and joy by saying “yes” to serving Jesus, showing how stepping out in faith can lead to amazing new paths.
💥Felicia shared her journey of healing and finding a loving community through prayer and support, reminding us of God’s power to restore and bring people together.
💥Natalya inspired us with her commitment to serving God around the world, proving that our prayers and giving can have a global impact.
As we step into the week, let's remember this promise: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us,” (1 John 5:14) and head over to northshore.church/practices to dive deeper!
Don’t miss next week’s kick-off of our new series, "Live It Out," where we’ll dive into the life of David and discover practical ways to live out our faith every day.
Let’s keep praying, trusting in God, and supporting each other. See you next week! 🫶

✨ HOW TO UNBURDEN YOUR LIFE | Resentment Free ✨
Northshore was on fire this Sunday! The excitement for our Mill Creek launch on 9/22 continued to build, and guest speaker Eugene Cho brought a powerful word in his sermon on living resentment-free.
Eugene's message resonated deeply, reminding us that even in hard times, choosing forgiveness over resentment can make all the difference. For more insights on overcoming resentment, visit northshore.church/practices.
At Northshore, we're committed to growing together in faith, spreading love, and seeing Jesus change everything for anyone. We're pumped for the new campus and can't wait to see what the future holds!
Building trust with God is all about learning to rely on Him to help us overcome fear. Maybe you've felt God nudging you to do something, like sharing your faith more openly, admitting to a personal struggle, or being more generous. But let's be honest, fear can hold us back.
Why not grab a friend you trust, and chat about that nudge you've been feeling? Together, you can explore ways to trust God more, and take that step forward with confidence, knowing He's is with you. Every small step you take to trust Him brings you closer to experiencing His amazing peace and love.
🙌 UNBURDEN YOUR LIFE: Overcoming Your Fear 🙌
Today, we were reminded that God is love, and He is always with us! With His presence, we can embrace life's uncertainties, guided by the Spirit within us. Pastor Steven led us through 1 John 4:16-18, teaching us that God's love casts out fear and empowers us to follow His calling. 💪🔥
Families and friends filled the building with laughter and fellowship as we celebrated the official launch date of our Mill Creek campus on September 22, 2024. We'll continue to share the hope found in God's love with the community of Mill Creek.
In worship, we lifted our voices in praise and gratitude for His unwavering love and presence. 🎶🙏
As we left the service, we were encouraged to find courage in the face of the unknown, embracing life's surprises. Remember to visit www.northshore.church/practices this week for guidance on trusting God in times of fear.
Keep sharing your favorite moments by tagging us, and let's keep the conversation going! See you next Sunday at Northshore! 😊💛

✨ HOW TO UNBURDEN YOUR LIFE | Week 3 ✨
This morning, we discovered the power of focusing on who we want to become, rather than just trying to stop doing what we don't want to do. Our "How to Unburden Your Life" series continued with a sermon from Pastor Wolfgang that explored this idea through the lens of 1 John 2:15-17, teaching us to follow Jesus' example and pursue a more meaningful life.
We learned that by embracing the spiritual practice of fasting in our life, we can deepen our relationship with God and find true fulfillment. To help us make fasting a part of our daily lives, this week we're using helpful resources at www.northshore.church/practices to guide us. Our community supports each other on this journey, sharing experiences and learning together. You can find weekly events at www.northshore.church/events for more opportunities to connect and grow in faith.
As we continue this life-changing journey at Northshore, we're shaping our lives around who we want to become—more like Jesus—through transformative spiritual practices. Join us as we embrace our true selves and grow together in faith. 🫶
