Congratulations to all our Div 2 winners from the summer showdown tournament at Harvard, while these teams didn’t win a paid bid to Disney they still earned a half paid bid to the summer nationals at the pro football hall of fame July 27th/28th 💪

The Champs are here 🏆 the final Div 1 Champions from the Boston qualifier secure their half bid to Disney. Teams from MA, RI, NY and NH all took home the title!!

We are excited for the BIG Summer Showdown tournament at Harvard this weekend and just wanted to give you some info for the event. The address of the complex is on the image below, everyone will enter through Gate 8, gates will open at 7am. We will be having TEAM check in at the stadium Friday night from 6-8pm, first come first served, if you have 50% of your team or more, please take advantage of the early check in as you know how busy it can get in the morning, the stadium will also be open to throw the ball around Friday night. TEAM check in for Saturday starts at 7:15am onwards, teams should check in at least one hour before your first game, if your game is not until the afternoon, you do not need to check in early in the morning. Check in both days will be at the stadium. Tents and coolers are allowed, just no tents inside the stadium and they can not be staked into the ground anywhere on the facility, you can leave your tent overnight, just drop it down and secure it incase of any inclement weather overnight. Right now there is some rain in the forecast, we will play rain or shine, luckily the temperature is supposed to drop considerably over the weekend, if there is any lightning games will be postponed/delayed until it is safe to return to play. There will be parking attendants directing traffic and Harvard will be charging $20 a day to park, they take cash or card, PLEASE NOTE it will be VERY busy, plan accordingly do not show up at the last minute expecting to park, check in and get to your game, this is the biggest tournament in the country outside of Disney and it WILL BE BUSY!!

We will have hot and cold food and drink on site, along with vendors for apparel, sunglasses, football gloves, mouthguards, custom flags, etc etc.

For players on multiple teams, please note, you need to check in for both teams as we have different color wristbands for each age division, the referees will be checking before the start of each game, if your wristbands breaks, you need to head to the check in tent for another one so we can reverify you before you play again. IF you finish one game and head to the next and that game has already started you have to wait until half time to join the game, IF the game is in the second half you can no longer join that game. We will go over this and other things on the coaches call tomorrow night (coaches/admin/team managers we will be sending out the zoom link later today).

We will have medical trainers and campus security on site all day, both days. If anyone is asked to be removed from the premises for unruly behavior, player, coach or parent, you will be indefinitely banned from all future SHS events.

All Div 1 Champions will earn a FULL paid bid to the Summer Nationals at the PRO Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH on July 27th/28th, AND a FULL paid bid to the Pan American Bowl in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, Memorial weekend, 2025, AND a HALF paid bid to the 2025 Youth Flag Football World Championships in Disney next Feb. Div 2 Champions will receive a HALF paid bid to the Summer nationals.

This is our 19th year running the Summer Showdown and we LOVE bringing players together from across the country and even some out of country teams for a fun weekend of games. Lets keep it about the kids and create lifelong memories. On a personal note, my son has played in the tournament every year since he was 5 and now he has aged out, it goes by in the blink of an eye, so good luck, keep everything in perspective and win or lose and have FUN out there.
