Good morning all! If you have reached out to me about making appointments this week, I’m sorry I was unable to message you back. I was in S.C. this week watching my boy graduate Marine Corps boot camp. Proud is definitely an understatement as he carries on our family legacy! All this being said I am still only doing my small and medium dogs. I start therapy this week and will hopefully be back up to doing all my dogs soon. So if you need an appointment, let me know and we will get you scheduled! As always thanks for your patience and understanding!

03/21/2024

Just a small update for everyone. Even though I’m not 100% I am able to do some small and medium sized dogs right now. I will start physical therapy on April 12th and hopefully will be back doing all my dogs soon. So if you need an appointment soon let me know. I will be out of town April 2-5 to go watch my son graduate Marine Corps Bootcamp! Thanks for being so understanding and flexible with me!

03/07/2024

Say your prayers, heading to the VA for my appointment. Hoping to get some answers and hopefully get some kind of relief today.

02/28/2024

I’m so frustrated, so I’ve got DDD (degenerative disc disease) and they accidentally found I have stones in my kidneys but they haven’t dropped yet. So they sent me home with meds if things aren’t better in a week they said I will have to contact my P*P to schedule an MRI. I’ve got some tough decisions I need to make so keep those prayers coming because I’ve got so much on my mind right now I’m ready to lose it.

02/13/2024

Update…appointments are still going to be very limited as my back pain is still really bad. Looking like I may have to go back to the doctor. So please keep me in your prayers and as always thank you for your support and understanding.

02/08/2024

Update…

Nothing is broken. They say it is just muscles strained. I got 2 shots. And they are giving me a muscle relaxer and steroids to see if that helps. I’ve got to alternate heat and ice. I’ve been ordered to rest and no working on dogs for the rest of the week and depending on how I feel I can slowly work on dogs next week depending on how my back tolerates it. She did say I have a scoliosis but it’s not real bad right now. So thank you for your thoughts and prayers, keep them coming and hopefully I can heal quickly and get back to work.

02/08/2024

To all my clients and potential clients…
Last week I fell twice and have been having back problems ever since and the pain is getting worse. I have an appointment today to get checked out. So please bare with me so I can figure out my next steps once we figure out what is wrong. This being said if you are scheduled I may or may not have to reschedule depending on what the outcome of my appointment is. Please say a prayer that it is nothing to bad and I can continue to work. Thank you for your understanding and support!

And that’s it for 2023! Finished the year with a new client. Cody was such a good boy! I want to thank each and everyone of my clients for your support, understanding and trusting me with your fur babies! I’m ready for a few days off and look forward to seeing you all in 2024!

First off, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I wanted to apologize to anyone who has reached out to me and I have not responded back. Being the owner of a business and the only person in my business I tend to get overwhelmed sometimes and just shut down with my communication which I am truly sorry and I will be working on that in this coming year. Also I wanted to let everyone know that my schedule will be changing a little bit as I am taking on the task of helping my uncle sitting with my aunt who has Alzheimers a few days a week. So if I have already scheduled with you, I maybe reaching out to switch our schedule around. I’ve thought and prayed over this situation and my heart says this is what I need to do at this time. I want to thank you all for your continued support in my business and being flexible with me. I truly do have the best clients I could pray for. Here’s to you and here’s to a wonderful new year!

Keep this in mind when your dogs are begging for your food today!

For this week’s weekly information post, I want to open up and be completely vulnerable. Being a business owner has it’s benefits but it also can be very overwhelming at times. Not only am I the owner, but I’m my scheduler, I’m the one who has to answer all calls, text, and messages, I am the one who gets me to my clients, I’m the one who grooms the dogs, I’m the one who has to make sure the equipment is in good condition, and I’m the one who has to do it all so I can maintain my business. I also have to do this while balancing life as a mother of 2 teenagers, being active in my community, being there for my family and friends and still be able to do things that I enjoy. There are times it gets extremely stressful and I fight anxiety and depression from time to time. I’m extremely grateful and blessed to have very understanding clients. With all this being said if you have reached out to me recently and I have not gotten back with you just yet, I am slowly coming out of one of my down times and will be making calls and returning text and messages! Thank you all for your continued love, support and prayers!

Something new I will be doing is a weekly post with tips or tricks, fun facts, informational subjects you might have never known and if I will be doing an event or anything coming up during that week.

Today’s subject I want to share is how hot is too hot to walk your dog!

If the air outside is pleasantly warm, you may think there’s no risk that your dog’s paws will get burnt. But the ground can get much hotter than the surrounding air and absorbs heat fast, the table below compares the temperatures of the air and asphalt under similar conditions:
Air temperature Asphalt temperature
25 °C / 77 °F 52 °C / 125 °F
31 °C / 87 °F 62 °C / 143 °F
35 °C / 95 °F 65 °C / 149 °F
What’s more, is some surfaces get hotter than others. A study by Frostburg University has shown that when concrete reaches a temperature of 104 °F / 40 °C, under similar conditions brick can get as hot as 109.4°F / 43 °C and asphalt 124 °F/ 51 °C.

So either go on early morning walks, walk your dogs on grass or get some booties for your dog!

I hope everyone enjoys and has a blessed week!

I will be expanding my travel to Clinton/Oak Ridge/ and Andersonville! I will also be having kits for new clients and possibly current clients that will include proper brush and comb, ear wipes and a list of do and don’ts when it comes to helping your dog from getting matted (Thanks to a client and his daughter that inspired me) I will also be offering lessons on how to properly brush and comb your dog. And finally I will be having pop up days at area parks to do nail trims, so stay tuned to dates and times!!!
