The Townsend Area Volunteer Fire Department fireworks show is ON this year on Sunday, July 4th! The festivities will begin around 6pm(ish) beside the Highland Manor Inn & Conference Center with hot dogs 🌭 and snow cones 🍧. Face painting will be provided by CHilhowee ARea Ministries . 🎵 Live music will begin at 7:30 pm with the Jeff Jopling Band and Tate Roberts performing. The fireworks show will begin at dark-thirty so bring your lawn chairs and celebrate with us!!

During the first two weeks, most park roads, restrooms, and popular destinations will be open. Campgrounds, visitor centers, and some of the more remote areas of the park will remain closed.
