US Independence Day is one of my favorite times to be in Gatlinburg. The festivities kick off downtown on July 4th at 12:01am with the nation’s first Independence Day parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is ACM Award nominee Conner Smith. At 1pm head over to River Road to watch the River Raft Regatta, an annual race of unmanned floatables down the Little Pigeon River. At night make your way to the Gatlinburg Space Needle for a drone show (with over 200 drones!) that starts at 10:50pm. Last but not least the fireworks will light up the sky starting at 11pm. It’s sure to be an amazing time! 🎆 🎇 🧨
