This grassroots non-profit organization advocates for abundant, affordable, accessible mental health care services for all individuals. Through their work, they will promote making access to mental health care easier, address the lack of facilities, and provide financial support to those who face socioeconomic barriers preventing them from accessing those vital resources.

Mental health is a global challenge affecting millions of people worldwide, and David's Legacy Foundation aims to address this crisis head-on. With a profound commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues and addiction, the foundation will work tirelessly to eliminate all obstructions that prevent people from receiving the care they need and deserve.

In many cases, individuals cannot access mental health care due to multiple factors, such as limited financial resources or lack of insurance coverage. David's Legacy Foundation recognizes this injustice and seeks to bridge the gap by providing financial assistance to those who cannot afford essential mental health services. BossWitch Designs, a Digital Marketing Agency, on behalf of David’s Legacy Foundation, releases the following regarding the recent tragedy at the San Antonio International Airport.

On June 23, 2023, At 10:25 pm, David Allen Andrew Renner took his own life while at work at the San Antonio International Airport. There are numerous articles and videos regarding the incident, some factual and some false; The family would like to take this time to clarify the events that transpired that tragic day and what led up to his final decision that night.

David grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, and finished his education at Carroll Consolidated High School in Burlington, Indiana. David, like 50% of children in the US, grew up with divorced parents, he also suffered the trauma of parental alienation. Growing up with what he called a “narcissistic mother,” David developed traumatic emotional damage, as most victims in similar situations do. David would spend rotating weekends with his father and step-family throughout his adolescent years, and throughout those years, a bond between brothers was formed. There was the occasional disagreement typical of siblings, but others around David weren’t as supportive of a close relationship between the Renner boys and through manipulation, drove a long-lasting wedge between them.

David graduated in 2014, and after finding employment in Indianapolis he moved closer to his father and step-mother. It was during this time that David turned to illegal substances to “numb the pain”. After being let go from his employment, David began what some would call a downward spiral. In 2017, David and his father got into an argument regarding a vehicle at which time David physically assaulted his father, who was left with no choice but tough love and had his son removed by police. Shortly after, Mr. Renner accepted a position in San Antonio, Texas, and relocated his family in June 2018.

David, still estranged from his mother, was forced to move in with his grandparents in Kokomo, Indiana. It was there, and after a falling-out with his grandfather, whom David adored, that he overdosed, making that his first attempt at ending his own life.

It was at this time that Jason and Ronda Renner searched for, and found a rehabilitation center in Austin and had asked for financial help from his mother. After being denied, they still offered to pay so that he could be in a facility that not only specialized in recovery but was close to family. David, still yearning for his mother’s approval, decided to go to the free center in California that she had chosen for him. Where it did help get him to a better place, David, an Athiest felt out of place due to the religion being forced upon the patients. As soon as David’s father and stepmother were able to secure him a place at a housing facility in Austin, Texas he was there.

In 2020, David had become sober, found employment, and was living independently in New Braunfels, Texas. Over the next several months, David began repairing the relationships between not only he and his father, but his brother Joshua Renner as well. David also started to develop a close relationship with his stepmother, confiding in her about his time in California and opening up about his feelings regarding his mother.

After being estranged from his mother for almost 3 years and feeling the intense pain of that loss, during the holidays of 2021, David began gambling and using once again. He lost his job, and at one point had become homeless. His father had tried numerous times to reach David over the course of several months, but it wasn’t until July of 2022 when David reached out to his father, that Jason knew he was okay and safe. Shortly after the family learned that a generous man saw potential in David and took him in and helped him get clean. His family still owes a great deal of gratitude to what they call David’s angel here on Earth.

It was mid-November that David began his employment at Unify, which provides ground support for Delta at the San Antonio International Airport. During this time and over the course of the next 8 months, David maintained his sobriety and made genuine friendships. It was then that David tried to once again appease his mother and have a relationship with her, and went to visit in early June 2023.

Upon returning to San Antonio, Texas David expressed how out of place he was while visiting his mother. Maintaining his sobriety, he pushed forward with the support of his stepmother and father, while actively going to therapy.

Although we will never know what led to him making that ultimate decision, we do know that David was a beautiful soul with a bright future ahead of him. By establishing the David’s Legacy Foundation, and continuing the fight for affordable, accessible, and abundant mental health care, his family hopes individuals like David will get the help they need and deserve.

Your Hate, Is Not A Phobia, And By Learning To Differentiate Between The Two Terms, And Addressing The Actions And Ignorance Is The First Step To Eradicating The Hate Shown To Our Fellow Americans.

Asexual: A Broad Spectrum Of S*xual Orientations Generally Characterized By Feeling Varying Degrees Of S*xual Attraction Or A Desires For Partnered S*xuality.

There Are Many Diverse Ways Of Being Asexual; For Instance, A Person Who Does Not Experience S*xual Attraction Can Experience Other Forms Of Attraction, Such As Romantic, Physical, And Or Emotional Attraction. All Of Which Being Separate Aspects Of A Person’s Identity, May Or May Not Correlate With Each Other. Although It Sounds Similar, Asexuality Is Very Distinct From Celibacy. Some Asexual People Do Have S*x And Experience Varying Levels Of S*xual Attraction. For Instance, Some People Are Physically And Romantically Attracted To Women. However, Others Might Be Physically Attracted To All Genders And Only Emotionally Attracted To Men.

Individuals Who Do Not Experience S*xual Attraction Or Have A Low Or Absent Interest In S*xual Activity Are Often Referred To As Asexual Individuals. While Asexuals Are Included Under The Umbrella Of The LGBTQIA+ Community, They Often Faced Exclusion And

Intersex: An Umbrella Term To Describe A Wide Range Of Natural Body Variations That Do Not Fit Neatly Into Conventional Definitions Of Male Or Female. Intersex Variations May Include But Are Not Limited To, Variations In Chromosome Compositions, Hormone Concentrations, And External And Internal Characteristics.

Intersex People, Individuals Born With Physical S*x Characteristics (Such As Variations In Chromosomes, Hormones, Or Genitalia That Do Not Fit Typical Male Or Female Categories), Have Historically Always Faced Discrimination And Stigma, With Their Bodies Often Being Medicalized And Subjected To Unnecessary Surgeries Or Treatments.

In Recent Years, Intersex Activists Have Fought For Greater Recognition And Inclusion In Society While Advocating To Have The Right To Self-Determination And Bodily Autonomy, And For An End To Harmful Medical Practices. Practices Such As Intersex Children Often Being Subjected To Surgeries Or Other Medical Interventions At A Young Age, And Often Without Their Consent. These “Interventions” Can Have Serious Physical And Psychological Consequences, And Can Leave The Person Feeling Violated And Traumatized.

With The Lack Of Legal Recognition And Protection, In Many Countries, Intersex People Are Not Even Recognized As A Distinct Category And Are Forced To Choose Between Male Or Female On Official Documents. Intersex People Usually Do Not Have Access To Services Or Participate Fully In Society, Which Is A Direct Result Of The Stigma Surrounding Them, Thus Leading To Discrimination And Exclusion.

This Month, And All The Rest, Let Us Work Together To Break Down Stereotypes And To Challenge Misconceptions About Intersex People, And All Those With In The LGBTQIA+ Community.

Part 2:

Questioning: The Process Of Exploring One’s Own Gender Identity, Gender Expression, And/Or S*xual Orientation.

As Humans, We Are Constantly Exploring And Discovering Our Identities, Including Our Gender Identity, Gender Expression, And S*xual Orientation. This Process Can Be Both Challenging And Rewarding, As We Navigate Through Societal Expectations And Norms While Trying To Stay True To Ourselves.

For Many People, Exploring Their Gender Identity Involves Questioning The Traditional Binary Of Male And Female; It Can Also Involve Embracing Non-Binary Identities, Such As Genderqueer Or Genderfluid (See Comments For Definitions), Or Rejecting Gender Norms Altogether (Gender Outlaws). For Others, It May Involve Questioning Their Assigned Gender At Birth And Embracing A Different Gender Identity, Such As Transgender Or Gender Non-Conforming (See Comments For Definitions).

Gender Expression Is Another Important Aspect Of Exploring One's Identity, Which Involves How We Present Ourselves To The World, Including Our Clothing, Hairstyle, And Behavior. For Some People, Their Gender Expression Aligns With Societal Expectations Of Their Gender Identity, While For Others, It May Challenge Those Expectations.

S*xual Orientation Is Also A Key Component Of Exploring One's Identity, As It Involves Learning Which Gender(S) We Are Attracted To, Whether That Be The Same Gender, A Different Gender, Or Multiple Genders. It Is Important To Note That S*xual Orientation Is Separate From Gender Identity And Expression And That There Is No "Right" Or "Wrong" Way To Experience Attraction.

Exploring One's Identity Can Be A Complex And Emotional Process, Often Involving A Lot Of Self-Reflection And Introspection. It Can Also Involve Seeking Support And Guidance From Others, Such As Friends, Family, Or A Therapist. Everyone's Journey Is Unique.

Ultimately, The Process Of Exploring One's Gender Identity, Gender Expression, And S*xual Orientation Is A Powerful Way To Connect With One's Authentic Self, Challenge Societal Norms And Stereotypes. Join Us This Month, And Every Day To Promote Greater Acceptance And Inclusivity For All People.

Part 1:

Q***r: One Definition Of Q***r Is Abnormal Or Strange. Historically, Q***r Has Been Used As An Epithet/Slur Against People Whose Gender, Gender Expression, And/Or S*xuality Do Not Conform To Dominant Expectations. Some People Have Reclaimed The Word Q***r And Self-Identify In Opposition To Assimilation (Adapted From “Q***ring The Field”). For Some, This Reclamation Celebrates Not Fitting Into Social Norms. Not All People Who Identify As LGBTQIA+ Use “Q***r” To Describe Themselves. The Term Is Often Considered Hateful When Used By Those Who Do Not Identify As LGBTQIA.
Let's Begin By First Discussing The Word "Q***r," Which Has A Complex And Evolving History; Originally A Term Used To Describe Something Strange Or Unusual During The 16th Century, It Became A Derogatory Term For Those Perceived As Deviating From Societal Norms Of Gender And S*xuality Beginning In The 19th Century. During The Early And Mid-1900s, Being Labeled As Such Was A Social Stigma That Usually Led To Discrimination, Violence, And Ostracism. However, In The 1980s, The LGBTQIA+ Community Reclaimed The Word As A Term Of Empowerment And Inclusivity. Beginning A Movement, Spearheaded By Activists Who Sought To Challenge Societal Norms Of Gender Identity And S*xual Orientation, To Reclaim The Word "Q***r" As A Symbol Of Resistance Against Oppression.
The Term, Widely Used Within The LGBTQIA+ Community, Is A Way To Encompass A Wide Range Of Identities And Experiences. It Has Become A Way To Transcend Traditional Categories Of Gender Identity And S*xual Orientation, As Well As Celebrating The Diversity And Complexity Of Human Experience. Let It Be Said; It Is Not A Term That AnyOne Not Identifying As Should Use.
