From my Friday Art Class, here's Jackie's little bunny, and from Carol, a new door she finished. She's working on a series of doors from places she's visited. They're all beautiful!

This painting is a commissioned piece. Omar gave it to his wife for her birthday. It's from a photo he took of his wife, Crystal, and daughter, Lydia. He said, "this is what I see each morning". I think he is a "romantic". xoxo

This is Carol's 3rd in her "Door Series". She's painting the doors from photographs she's taken while traveling, so they have special meaning for her.

I'm teaching an art event at my church in Pasadena, CA. It's to raise money for the teens to go to our church camp. I work with the Sunday School kids, and I hope we can make this a successful event for them. I'm donating my time, and I've attached a flyer for more information. I have to say, I'm so proud of the art my Friday students create. Their work is wonderful. Everyone is unique and creates in her own way. And, most thought they couldn't do it when they started! If anyone wants to join us, my class is in Glendale on Fridays from noon to two thirty. The group is so inviting, and everyone is supportive of each other. It's a very loving, creative atmosphere!

I love that many times my students paint things that are personal to them. Barbara went to visit her former home in Texas and photographed her beloved Bluebonnets, which she just painted.
