Raul For Assembly

Last week was a great week. We enjoyed a fantastic night at our La Mirada Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Team Ortiz gathered the signatures to get on the ballot for State Assembly and County Central Committee AD64.

December 4th we were endorsed by the Los Angeles County Republican Party Committee (LAGOP) and yesterday we were endorsed by the California State Republican Party (CAGOP). I'm very grateful for both their endorsements.

Most importantly though is my family's endorsement and We The People's endorsements.

The emails I've received from supporters of their support and why they support our campaign are tremendous.

Thank you all. I truly am humbled and do not take these endorsements lightly but with a deep sense of responsibility.

From my family to yours we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

The Secret Lab

Last week, news broke about a secret Chinese-run bioengineering lab in Fresno County. Since then, the revelations have gotten even more disturbing. We’ve learned 1,000 mice at the lab were "genetically engineered to catch and carry" COVID and other diseases.

The lab operated without a license, and the local city manager says "they did not want us to know they were here." Yet Newsom awarded the company a $360,000 tax credit. I am joining the Speaker’s call for an investigation by the House Select Committee on China.

It was another rough week for Newsom. A new report showed California spent $20 billion on homelessness over five years, yet the homeless population skyrocketed. On Newsmax, I pointed out that this is what Newsom calls a "model for the nation."

Meanwhile, I’m sending Attorney General Merrick Garland a letter demanding he rescind his infamous memo targeting parents at school board meetings. My letter quotes none other than FBI Director Wray, who admitted under my questioning that Garland’s memo was bogus.

Elsewhere, in a victory for free speech, the 9th Circuit ruled a California community college violated the First Amendment by taking down a student group’s fliers. The fliers discussed the harms caused by communist regimes; such facts, administrators felt, needed to be censored.

Incidents like this are why I’ve introduced the Free Speech on Campus Act. That legislation was mentioned in another national profile that came out this week, this one headlined "Rep. Kevin Kiley Emerges as California’s Champion for Freedom." You can read the profile here.

Finally, Kamala Harris is outright flaunting the Administration’s lawlessness. We’ve succeeded in blocking Julie Su’s confirmation, yet Harris just declared her the permanent Secretary anyway. My legislation, H.R. 4957, will oust Su entirely and end this mockery of our Constitution.

A family that campaigns together stays together.

Went to Adventure Park in what is considered in district lines South Whittier District 64.

We went to the park on a hot day and handed out Popsicles with notes that said "You are worthy," "You are Loved," "You are Special," to all the children while meeting parents. Kids were extremely happy, and so were the parents.

Parents wish us good luck and want our campaign material. It was a blast while making deep connections.

On March 8th at 10pm. This tremendous soul, Laurie Wallace from up north in California, called and introduced herself.

She them went on to inform me that someone by the name Michelle, told her that I might be interested in running for office. It was for the office of California State Assembly District 64.

Now, it was not even a thought in my mind, but since I joined the CRA in Sept of 2021, I had been praying and asking God how he could use me to save California from tyranny. At this moment, when Laurie asks, I heard the Lord's still and small voice in the depths of my heart saying, "Who shall go for me, who shall I send?" In response in the quietness of my heart, I said, "here am I Lord, send me."

Thus began my journey in answering the call in this political realm.

Thank you, Laurie, for bravely picking up that phone and calling a complete stranger. Your obedience to our Master Shepherd of our souls Jesus and the love for our great State pushed you on into the late night making dials throughout California to get candidates to run in districts that had no republican representation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I owe an eternal debt to you, my sister in Christ. And I am so glad after a year since that phone call that changed my life we finally met in person.

Together, we will turn California around and make her Golden Again in JESUS' Name!

Honor to have Raul For Assembly Team District 64 represent as Delegates for CAGOP Convention.

There were 1,488 Delegates representing the entire State of California Republican Party. We get to represent Los Angeles County.

As a candidate and one of only 2 Republicans that won their primary race in the State of California and making it to the general election. I received 5 Delegates to appointment for a total of 6 with myself included.

This is a caption from Dr. James Dobson's page. He mentions our rally for life on July 18th at the Norwalk-La Mirada School Board Meeting:

Last year, parents in Los Angeles County rose up and stopped Planned Parenthood from distributing abortion pills to their children in the Norwalk-La Mirada public schools. But now, bureaucrats who think they know better are once again pushing these deadly pills in our public schools. This time the push is via “Wellbeing Centers” organized by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. While they claim that “abortion pills” will not be distributed, the district’s own “Fact Sheet” clearly states that Wellbeing Centers at John Glenn and Southeast Academy high schools “will provide…over-the-counter emergency contraception (Plan B) …”

The “Fact Sheet” also states that the Wellbeing Center staff can connect students to “a nearby clinic or a mental health clinician inside or outside school…staff can provide…information and resources for any option that the patient [student] requests.” In other words, these Wellbeing Centers are providing abortion pills, and if they can’t get Planned Parenthood inside the school, they will push your children to Planned Parenthood centers outside the school.
