Today our youth participated in the “Tour d’SAC” around the playground!

Lackland YP is headed to Corpus Christi ☀️🏖️😎

This Saturday, July 8, Lackland Youth Program will be visiting the Gulf of Mexico, Texas Aquarium and the Lexington! DEADLINE IS JULY 3 and cost is $35 per person (ages 9-18).

Looking back at these photos, the staff at Lackland Youth Program can’t help but smile😊. Here is another recap of an event we did during Month Of the Military Child- our very own MOMC Festival! It was a hit and a day to always remember😉 From the parents’ pie eating contest to our staff in the dunk tank and our very own Fashion Show! We are all excited to see what next year brings us!

April was a month to remember! From the adventures to the quiet moments, Lackland youth program is grateful for every experience and we thank you for joining us in making those memories📸💭. For the next a couple of days we are going to recap all the special events we had during The Month Of The Military Child! We remember the time when we had our first lock-in and our spirit week 😊!

💜💜Lackland Youth Center celebrated our military kids in a BIG way today at the MOMC Festival! 💜💜

We enjoyed games, food, activities, music and an incredible Fashion Show which showcased our youth’s creativity! We even got a little dirty during our pie eating contest with the parents😉🥧

Overall, We had a great time tonight and we look forward to continuing the celebration of our military kids 💜

WHEELS DAY was a SUCCESS! Our youth were able to check out and get up close to Fire Trucks, Police Cars, the CPS Truck and Slingshots 🚔🚒We learned so much and had a great time doing it 😉

Special Thanks to Lackland’s Fire Department, San Antonio Police Department, CPS Energy Company and Our Slingshot Drivers for coming out and supporting our kids!

This Friday Keystone Club will be hosting a meeting! The goal of is to invite new teens to join the Lackland Youth Center and take part in the Keystone Club. We will be meeting Friday, April 7 from 4:30pm-6:00pm, this is open to all teens, ages 13-18. There will be an ICE CREAM BAR with all your favorite toppings ✨🍦✨ If you are interested please join us!

🎉SPIRIT WEEK🎉 Monday’s theme: DYNAMIC DUO 👯‍♀️

We had a jammed pack weekend! We kicked Month of the Military Child off with our first ever School Age Care Lock-in 🤗 Our SAC Youth built their own pizzas, participated in an “Amazing Race” around the youth center and ended the night with laser tag! We look forward to have many more SAC Lock-ins in the future - you don’t want to miss the next one 😉

Today we celebrated Patty’s Day by having GREEN Muffins, Kiwis, and even Green Milk!🤭

Good Morning Y’all ☀️Throughout the event, the youth have been having fun doing different activities. One of the major activities we did was making Guacamole 🥑! Still going strong and more creative activities to come😁!

Lackland’s Pre-teen Scream Green Lock-In had a BLAST at Andretti’s tonight💚💚💚! The youth enjoyed pizza, unlimited arcade games, and thrilling go cart races🏎 😎🏎

The Lock-In will continue later on into the night with more fun filled activities at the Lackland Youth Center 😉

Today our Power Hour Club took a field trip to the Commissary to learn the ins and outs of running a successful business 💰😉💰

They were able to learn about Customer Service, Inventory, Loss/profit, Shipping, Manager Duties and the other different store departments! We hope to continue helping our youth grow into business savvy individuals!

Happy Thursday😁! Today, Lackland ISD had there own living museum! Our very own youth gave personal and group presentations about historical figures and major events in American history! We were so excited to come out and support them. We learned so much from their awesome presentations and look forward to the next event!

TODAY is our Black History Living Museum Exhibit! We’re excited to showcase African American culture and present what the youth have learned! We will start at 5:00pm, hope to see you there!

🗣️Friendly reminder! TODAY is our Quality Improvement Team Meeting! 🗣️

We invite all enrolled families to participate in this meeting by providing us with input on how we can build upon and better our School Age program- also, dinner will be provided to those who attend! We hope to see you there!

We had an amazing time with our families at Lackland’s Texas Winter Skate event and we want to give a huge shoutout to our other door prize winners from the Texas Winter Skate!

LAK YP had fun ... gettin’ it done! We had a good crowd in attendance, basketball players, cheerleaders and signed up 11 new members to our program. Free hot dogs and chips, fun games and inflatables, but best of all our teen Keystone Club earned monies to attend the Keystone National Conference in July! See us next week at the Annual Snow Fest on the 28th of January, 5-9pm at the Lackland Amphitheater. We want to thank all of our families and children for coming out and enjoying this great event with us!

For the last event of the day, A Classic Sac Race! An event for the parents and kids! We love to get the whole family active and involved 🙌😄
