A project from the end of last season! We had the opportunity to bring this home back to life! It had been years since anyone had worked on the home so it had little to no stain. The exterior sealing on the exposed walls were peeling off/dried out. We did a full restoration on this home.
Started off with media blasting to remove the stain/weathered areas. We removed all the c***king lines on the exposed walls and redid them. The customer wanted the contrast look so we applied two coats of stain first then the sealing. Finished off with a coat of topcoat finish! The customer was completely happy with the results.

Swipe to see pictures from start to finish! What do you guys think?

Half completed! We ended up working on this house that needed sealing up and another coat of stain. We cleaned off the house to prep it up for the sealing/staining process. We sealed up all seams/joints on the house using Log Jam. The client wanted to use the same brand of stain that has been applied previously so we used TWP stain. We will be back to finish the other half of the house! Thanks Bill for giving us the opportunity to work on your home! Glad you’re happy with the results!!

Project complete! We ended up power-washing this home and then applying one coat of stain to make the walls more uniform. Ended up doing some c***king/caulking repairs and repainted all the c***k lines. We followed it with a topcoat finish! Even some small changes like repainting lines can make the house look completely new! Thank you Kathy for the opportunity to work on your home!

A complete makeover! We were able to get the opportunity to work on this home! Just needed a little TLC. We media blasted the home, applied two coats of borate treatment, two coats of stain, reapplied c***king and caulking to seal up all seams, and finished it off with a topcoat finish! Huge thank you to Jesse and Kaylin for trusting us with your home!

Chinking is complete! Log Jam from Sashco Log Homes. Next up is filling in all the cracks and log ends with caulking (EnergySeal). Second coat of stain and topcoat finish and this house will be complete! Stay tune for the final look of this home!

Chinking day! We get asked what tools we use to lay our lines out. Just a c***king gun, spray bottle, and your hand! No spatulas or trowels for us. We feel like we’re able to mold and shape the c***king better into the logs with just our fingers!

Very satisfying work!

Project complete! Had the opportunity to stay local to our area and work on this beautiful home. The stain on the house was pretty much failing so we did a full restoration on it! We media blasted using crushed glass and applied borate treatment to protect the logs! We ended up applying two fresh new coats of stain followed by a topcoat finish! Front deck got stripped and stained as well. We also sealed up around all the windows and doors to prevent bugs or outside air from coming into the house! Thank you Kristen for giving us the opportunity to work on your home!

Always provide stain samples for your customers! Different homes take on the stain differently due to the type of wood used to build the home. This provides an image to the owner on how their home could potentially look like!

We had the opportunity to work on this chimney on our last job. The customer went with River Rock Stone for the chimney. We applied a sealer to protect the mortar from cracking over time. Thank you Amy and Aaron for giving us the opportunity to work on your lovely home!

A complete new look! We ended up doing a full restoration on this house! We first sealed up the entire house by c***king it. This is a form of insulation for a log home. We stripped the old stain and applied two fresh new coats followed by a topcoat. The customer wanted the fascia boards and posts to be a different color to give some contrast. One of my favorites! Thank you Dwayne and Lisa for giving us the opportunity to work on your home. Hope you like the results!

Project complete! Had the pleasure to do a full restoration on this lovely home! We ended up stripping the old stain and applying two coats of Perma-Chink Systems stain with a topcoat finish. We repainted all the c***k lines as well to give the house a contrast look. We stripped the old stain on the decks and restained them using sherwin Williams deck stain.
Big thanks to Jack and KD for giving us the opportunity to work on your home! Hoped you like the outcome!

We’ve been so busy that I haven’t really posted much. Another house done! We did a full restoration on this house. We stripped it using StripIt from permac***k. We applied two coats of stain followed with a topcoat finish. We sealed up all the cracks and gaps around the windows and doors as well to ensure the house is insulated right. Thank you Denny for the opportunity to work on your log home!

One for the books! We ended up coming to this house to replace some logs and switch the cedar siding with log siding. The customer wasn’t happy with the cedar siding and wanted the addition to match the rest of the house so we removed the old siding and replaced it with half logs. We sealed up around the windows and corners using EnergySeal from Perma-Chink Systems to prevent any water from getting behind and causing rotting. We replaced some rotten logs as well! We sealed around the ones we replaced and stained them to match the rest of the house. Thanks Chad and Denise for giving us the opportunity to work on your home! Hope you’re pleased with the results!

A full restoration! We started on this project by sealing up the cracks on the logs and where they would meet. We applied c***king on all the corners of the house since they all had big gaps. When we log strip a house, we try to prevent as minimal water from getting inside the home so we seal up all gaps and cracks first. We log stripped the house then applied two coats of Lifeline Ultra 2. We finished off by applying the clear coat finish (Lifeline Advanced Clear). Huge thanks to Dan for giving us the opportunity to work on his home. Hope you’re pleased with the outcome!

We did some post replacements. Some of the posts were rotting from the bottom so it was best to replace them quickly. We replaced all 16 posts around the house with white pine posts. We will be back next year to restore the rest of the house!

Got the opportunity to work on this home. This house was weathered out and had little to no stain. We ended up stripping it using CPR. We sealed up all the cracks on the logs and joints where the logs met as well. We applied two coats of PermaChink Lifeline Exterior stain. Like always, we ended up applying a top coat (clear coat) finish to prevent the freshly applied stain from fading away. Thank you Kalob for giving us the opportunity to work on your home! We hope you like the new look!

We ended up doing a maintenance on this house. This beautiful house is in great condition and just needed a bit of work. We power washed the house to remove any unwanted substances on the surface of the logs. Some walls of the house were getting lighter so we did some stain touch-ups on some walls and posts. We finished up with applying a topcoat (clear coat) to the house to protect the stain from fading as quickly. Thanks Jared for giving us the opportunity to work on your home!

Ended up working on a deck recently and it turned out pretty good! We media blasted it using corn cob grit as the media. When it comes to the staining, we always use Sherwin Williams Semi-Transparent SuperDeck stain. You’ll be able to see the texture of the wood after applying the stain. We applied two coats of stain to ensure the stain lasts longer. Thank you James for giving us the opportunity to work on this project!

06/30/2022

Another home complete! We ended up just doing a maintenance on the house. The old stain was in still good condition so we pressure washed the house down to remove unwanted substances and applied just one coat of stain on the house. We finished off with a top coat to prevent the stain from fading away as quick. With the railings, the horizontal posts were peeling so we just stripped them off and applied two fresh coats of stain. Some railings had a different stain color but we were able to match the railings with the rest of the house. Thanks Dan for the opportunity to work on your home!!

06/29/2022

Another one in the books! This beautiful house only needed a maintenance. We ended up power washing it to remove any dirt, pollen, or any other substance not wanted underneath the clear coat finish we’ll be applying. We did some stain touch-ups on on the fascia boards and other areas the sun was hitting the most. We finally ended with a clear coat finish to ensure the stain doesn’t fade away as quickly over time. Thanks Doug for the opportunity to work on your beautiful home!

When it comes to a log home, the best way to make sure your log home is insulated right would be to seal up all the gaps in your house. This includes all the lines where the logs meet. With this project, we previously sealed up the outside with c***king and caulking (Perma-Chink and EnergySeal). The customer wanted us to seal up the interior corner gaps where the drywall met the logs. Not only does this provide a better look, but it prevents insects/bugs from entering your house. Also, this prevents any outside air from coming in which would save you money with your utility bills. Save you money on keeping your home cold during the summers and warm during the winters! Thanks Ed for allowing us to come back and do more work for you!

Another one in the books! First unfinished house we have worked on. The logs were turning grey due to the weather so we used CPR to brightened them as we cleaned them off with the pressure washer. We ended up applying borate, two coats of stain, and a coat of clear coat finish to prevent the freshly applied stain from fading as quick. Huge thanks to Amy and Aaron for giving us the opportunity to work on their home!!

Ended up traveling to Illinois to work on this deck. It had layers of oil-based and water-based stains from the previous times it had any work done to it. We ended up stripping the old stain then applied two coats of Sherwin Williams Semi-Transparent SuperDeck. The owners chose the right stain color for the deck to match this beautiful house. Thanks Bernard and Debbie for giving us the opportunity to work on your deck! You guys were some amazing hosts!

Project complete ✅ We did a full restoration on this beautiful house. Looking at it, you can mold has gotten behind the stain so we ended up log stripping the whole house. We applied two coats of stain and a final clear coat finish to prevent the new freshly applied stain from fading as quick or peeling over time. We did some c***king and caulking repairs as well. The client liked the contrast between the stain and c***king lines so we re-painted all the c***k lines at the end! Probably one of my favorite projects we’ve done! Huge thank you to Tyler for giving us the opportunity to work on his home!
