Please join us for a weekend of service and worship. Friday and Saturday we will be cutting grass, painting and placing flowers. Sunday we'll have a worship service with words from Pastor Taylor Fairbanks of Vessel Church and Pastor Dale Flowers of New Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church.

Although Cemetery Sunday is traditionally a Roman catholic tradition, I found it extremely appropriate for Sweet Olive Cemetery. An excerpt from the Roman Catholic Cemeteries website reads "Cemetery Sunday tells “what God expects us to do.” God expects us to remember and respect those who have gone before us. We believe there is and always will be a connection between us and those who have died, and that God expects us to share one body; to contribute to the good of all, and to share in the welfare of all.

Cemetery Sunday is a day set aside to pray for the deceased and to visit the graves of loved ones and friends in a show of respect to those who have gone before us."

That statement words perfectly what truly drives us to keep up this work. We plan to adopt this as an annual event every February. Hope to see you there!
