Louisiana Judo returns from the U.S. Open with many wins under our belts. We also took many new experiences, including all the information we learned from the three day training camp that was hosted by some of the best instructors in the world. Thank you for putting on a great tournament and camp

Congrats to Ava Davison for taking gold in the Senior/ below brown belt/ 57kg division at the US Open!

Today the Louisiana Judo competition team played at the US Open in Florida! We had four competitors fight today and three of them were in the same division! It is very rare that we have three high level players in the same division. Enola Hawley, Ava Davison and Ellianna Abbott all fought hard and it was Ellianna Abbott who managed to secure a Bronze medal! I posted the bracket below so everyone can see how tough this competition really is! The fact that Ellianna came away with a medal is a huge achievement!
Liv Abbott also took 5th in her respective bracket, ( keep an eye on that one, she is a killer).
The team fights again tomorrow so stay tuned!
