Today, we celebrate the universal birthday for shelter dogs! Approximately 3 million dogs enter shelters each year, and we don't always know their birthdate when we adopt. However, that doesn't mean we can't celebrate them! How are you showing your shelter dog some extra love today?

On Sunday 28th the National Human-Animal Bond Awareness Day team will present talks from via Facebook Live. We are excited The Donkey Sanctuary Ambassador Peter Wright is giving time to talk to us about his work. We wanted to share something pretty amazing....we've already raised about $1,500 for Paws For Patrick and we still have another month to go 💚 I hope we can surpass our goal!

I decided I wanted to take all the participation fees for "My Guy n Me" this year to put toward it as well - so we've added that to our list of ways to collect donations. If you want to donate a raffle item for recital spirit week, please let us know.

At the April 18 meeting, the Board declared the month of May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Glencoe, and recognized the important work of many of our community partners such as Family Service of Glencoe and Paws For Patrick in providing crucial resources and services to those struggling with mental illness.
