Our Read Between the Ravines author events are full, but you can still join the waitlist. We hope you'll be able to join us! At 6:30 pm on Friday, April 12, we welcome Christie Tate at The History Center to discuss her memoir "Group: How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life." At 10:00 am on Saturday, April 13, Christie Tate teaches a memoir writing workshop at Lake Forest Library. Visit the Library website for details.

Now that the recently touched-up shelves are dry, the adult circulation staff worked hard to get the new books back in the Rotunda for you to browse! Thank you for being patient with the materials shift while the Remisoff murals were restored. 🆕 📚 😄

😍 Take a spin around the Rotunda to admire the Remisoff murals, now completely restored and more vibrant than ever! Our immense thanks to PARMA Conservation for their beautiful work and to the Friends of Lake Forest Library for their $250,000 grant that made the work possible. 🤗

What a joy last week to have Nancy from Northshore Music Therapy teach us about the profession of music therapy and the health and emotional benefits for clients! Read "Group" by Christie Tate with us and visit the Library website for upcoming Read Between the Ravine events.

You all ruffled our feathers in the best way possible with your quacktacular decorated duckies. Congratulations to raffle winners Nora, Reece, and Kelsey! Kelsey shared that she initially registered her kids, then decided to register herself too, and had a really good time decorating. We love it when "all ages" activities really are enjoyable for everyone!

The restoration of the Remisoff murals is progressing well! In these first three weeks of work, all the panels have been cleaned and flaking paint has been saved/consolidated. Damaged plaster behind the murals has been repaired. Missing paint is being filled in bit by bit (inpainting), and thanks to the molecular-level cleaning, we know the replaced paint is a wonderful match to the original colors that Remisoff used. Stop by the Rotunda, ask the conservators questions, and enjoy the improvement so far!
