For the first time ever, Artexpo New York will feature a Spotlight Artist Program which offers collectors a focused look at several cutting-edge artists who will each create a site-specific exhibition. This year, the artists selected are Ricardo Lowenberg, Alexis Silk, Jonathan Brender, and Gregg Albracht.

We ask you to take a moment; unwind with the comfort your eyes, and energize your soul, warmth your senses, and let your imagination go free in viewing the skilled works of: Mr. Sami Makela; We invite you to take a step into a world of classic baroque (innate from Rome in the 1600's through Europe and continues throughout the world currently) moldings, French styled domes and even the finesse of Moroccan influence painted doors, can be seen through Palm Beach. Currently noted by commission: Upstate New York. 2015 Acrylic on canvas 9' x 7' "Venice c. 1700 could only be define as Majestic Master Piece!

Currently noted work of Sami Makela is a unique take on modernist collage, and features a firm wood platform with applied bas-relief components glued to the base and subsequently painted with a sophisticated glazing and scumbling technique. The use of three dimensional elements heightens a precise sense of urban architectural lines, an impression which is brilliantly augmented by miniaturized and authentic graffiti patterns painted on a subway motif, often anchoring and wittily giving a less abstract foundation to the work.
