The new Oculus "Meta" VR headset codenamed Project Cambria is currently in development and coming in 2022! This isn't the Quest Pro 3, but a higher end, albeit a bit more expensive headset with premium features and improved optics. Purported to be a new advanced, high end product that will include the ability for your personal avatar to make natural eye contact and reflect your facial expressions in real time. This should enhance your social experiences within the metaverse.

Additionally, Project Cambria comes with high-resolution, colored mixed reality passthrough to represent your physical world in the headset with depth and perspective. The headset will map out your surroundings and project them so that you will begin to be able to take advantage of mixed reality features which push this beyond a normal VR headset.

The new Cambria headset will also feature what Meta is calling pancake optics which folds light several times over, reduces the profile of current lenses thereby making the lenses thinner. They are attempting to make the new headset contain the highest quality optics to date.
