The Lutheran Chorale presents
“Gather at the River”
Sunday, May 5th
The 2:30 pm concert will be at a new venue:
Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Drake St.,
Denver. The 6:30 pm concert will be at
Wheat Ridge Lutheran Church, 8600 W 38th St., Wheat Ridge.
The Lutheran Chorale treasures its spring concert as a break from
traditional Lutheran choral music to explore new and challenging
repertoire. The first half of this year's concert will focus on popular choral
works by modern composers; Hagenberg, Lauridsen, Whitacre and
Thompson. In the second half, favorite Gospel hymns (arranged by Mark
Hayes, Jim Raycroft and Thomas A Dorsey) are moving and comforting as
we say goodbye to two longtime members of the Chorale. The Chorale is
excited to bring these new and old messages in song to you as we finish
our 48th season. There is no charge at the door although a free will offering
is accepted.
