7 Hot Science Experiments Perfect for Summer
https://www.xump.com/blog/seven-hot-summer-science-experiments/
Summer is the perfect time for science experiments! The weather is excellent, which makes outdoor activities enjoyable. You have the freedom to explore, discover, and roam the great outdoors. Life is in full bloom; the forests and grasses teeming with life. Nothing activates scientific curiosity quite like exploring nature. On top of that, young learners have a tendency to more or less completely block out academia during the summer. It's not their fault: school is tough on kids, and summer is a time in their lives when they get to simply play and be kids. Enter, science experiments! https://www.xump.com/blog/seven-hot-summer-science-experiments/

In 1876, Edward Alexander Bouchet was the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in physics in the US while studying at Yale. His graduate research focused on geometrical optics with a dissertation titled “On Measuring Refractive Indices.” He was a brilliant man, finishing first in his high-school, 6th out of 124 in his undergraduate class at Yale, achieving his Ph.D. in only two years and was the 6th person to obtain this advanced degree at Yale. Sadly, due to racial discrimination he was unable to find a position in either physics research or university teaching for the rest of his life. He instead devoted most of his life to teaching physics and chemistry at segregated schools, paving the way for future generations to succeed in science.
