We have a VERY exciting update!!! We got a FANTASTIC decision in the case Liz filed against the Ingham County Election Commission for wrongly denying her petition to recall Brandon! Judge Canady said we just need to fix a couple typos and then the petition language can be refiled and WILL be clear & factual (ie- cannot be rejected by the election commission). We will get the petition with Judge Canady's language filed ASAP and signature collection will begin soon after that. We are so excited we will be able to move forward with recalling Brandon Betz!!!

Update time! The appeal of the denial of the second recall petition is proceeding in circuit court and we should have a decision in a couple weeks. We also FOIAed Brandon’s communications regarding the recall and were surprised to only receive a few emails with reporters. I sent him this email today- we will see what he says. Thank you for your support and we hope to be able to start collecting signatures soon!

Hi all, by way of update, the election commission again denied our petition. This time they misapplied the law and we will be appealing their decision. It certainly seems that the commission is trying everything to avoid this petition going through. They must be very scared of what will happen if the petition does make it through. Welcome new folks! By way of update, we had a clarity hearing today on the petition that we filed recently. We will be amending the language and filing a new petition very soon. We will update you when we do that, and once the petition is approved, we will be able to begin collecting signatures.
