Such a privilege spending the morning with 8th graders at Herrera Middle School—hoping I convinced a few to go into medicine!! 👊🏼🩺 ☺️ Thanks for the invite Mrs. Byrd! 🙌🏼
Many thanks to United ISD and Alexander HS for the honor of being inducted into the League of Legends. I sincerely hope my words to students resonated: “When you’re faced with challenges—reset, restart and refocus, but don't you dare give up on your dreams.” Congrats to my fellow honorees! Go Bulldogs! 👊🏼🎓🐾💙⭐️

Kick off 2023 with healthy skin! 🤩 Today (Sunday, January 8th) is National Winter Skin Relief Day—a day that reminds us how important it is to take care of our skin. 💯 Sign up for a customized skin analysis with a Master Aesthetician by calling (956) 724-5656. 📲🤗👌🏻
Here are 5 quick and easy cold weather tips for your skin:
1. Avoid long, hot showers. The heat strips the skin of its natural oils and causes inflammation.
2. Use gentle cleansers. Harsh soaps with surfactants and claims of pH balance can be harsh on the skin.
3. After bathing, pat the skin dry with a soft towel. Rubbing can cause irritation and inflammation.
4. When dressing, wear layers. The closest layer should be made of natural fibers, such as cotton.
5. Hydrate your skin at night. If you have dry, cracked skin, look for a cream with light petrolatum, hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Also, by adding humidity to the air with a cool-mist humidifier, you’ll not only hydrate your skin but provide more restful sleep.

Friendly reminder… the clinic will be closed this Monday in observation of the New Year holiday. 🎉
If you’re experiencing an emergency, please call 911.📲🚑 We’ll reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd.
Wishing you lots of blessings in 2023! 🙏🏼💙

Today, (Nov. 1st) kicks off Men’s Health Month and ‘No-Shave November’—a month-long awareness campaign that calls for embracing our hair, which is lost by many cancer patients during treatments. The idea is to also donate the money you would typically spend on shaving and grooming to worthwhile cancer organizations. One such organization is the Laredo Cancer Society (call them at (956) 615-4297 if help is needed). If I can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to call 📞 the clinic for an appointment at (956) 625-2730. We are currently accepting new patients ages 4+. 🩺Have a terrific November! 🦃🍁🧡🤎
