We’ll be open 7 days a week, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm starting tomorrow! Currently limited to BEGINNER TERRAIN only.

Snowmaking operations will continue for the upper terrain as long as Mother Nature continues to cooperate with us & sends more cold nights our way! Bluebird & additional lift & terrain open as quickly as possible!

Due to a network outage our phone lines and email are currently not working. We also have reduced hours today and will be closed from 1300-1530.

This past weekend we successfully trained seven new people in Wilderness and Remote First Aid. We learned lots, had great discussions on emergency considerations in remote environment's, risk, and how to treat injured patients in a wilderness context, but most of all had fun lots of fun!

Thanks to those that came out, and to our dedicated volunteers that came out to teach and to learn the necessary skills to keep our trip customers safe on our amazing programs!

You have seen the pics, now come on out with us on an epic multi-pitch rock climbing adventure! We will be climbing hundreds (yes you read that right, HUNDREDS) of feet high with the goal to summit one of the many peaks in he Red Rock Canyon area.

How about meeting in the middle while sleeping inside a canvas yurt heated by a woodstove. Well it might not have heat, running water, bathroom, or lights, it sure beats sleeping on top of the snow! A unique adventure to tick off your bucket list.

We got to zip around the scenic loop in Red Rock Canyon this past weekend, taking in the tall Aztec Sandstone walls and scrambling up some of the peaks in Calico Hills. Thanks to Escape Adventures for the fun ride!

Sneak peak! Registration is NOT OPEN YET, but soon! An awesome way to get into the remote Tushar Mountains in Utah to explore some high peaks in the snow, and sleep inside a primitive yurt! Save the date and keep an eye out for when registration will be opening.

It was an off-road kind of weekend at Outdoor Rec! We hit the Nellis Dunes in Sun Buggies on Saturday before heading to Valley of Fire for some Jeep Rock Crawling on Sunday.

Arizona Hot Springs trail is now back open thanks to the volunteers and support of Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

As of Thursday, November 16, the Arizona Hot Springs trail and White Rock Canyon Parking Lot are now open to visitors.

These locations were closed on November 4 to protect visitor health and safety due to high levels of human f***l bacteria found in the water at Arizona Hot Springs. NPS officials cleared away sandbags and other debris blocking the water flow, removed trash from the surrounding area, and monitored bacteria levels until they were reduced to acceptable levels.

As with all natural hot springs at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the NPS wants to emphasize that these are free-flowing streams, and alterations of these springs are not permitted. Blocking water flow with sandbags or other items to create pools at the hot springs creates health risks and alters the natural flow of the spring systems.

We also remind all visitors to follow leave-no-trace principles, including packing out trash and human waste (f***s). Pit toilets are located 200 yards downstream of the AZ Hot Springs along the Colorado River. Let's work together to keep our natural areas pristine.

Wow! Been busy getting folks outside the past week or so! Thanks to everyone who came out for the Grand Canyon skywalk & zipline, Grand Prix trip, and our multi-pitch ascend of Geronimo!

FYI, Arizona Hot Springs and the trail are currently closed.

Based on high levels of f***l bacteria in Arizona Hot Springs, the following park areas and facilities are closed, effective immediately, until further notice: Arizona Hot Springs Trail, Arizona Hot Springs, and the White Rock Canyon parking lot on Highway 93.

Officials are taking actions over the next several days, such as sandbag removal and other measures, to improve water quality. We will continue testing bacteria levels and will reopen Arizona Hot Springs once water quality meets federal and state safety standards.

To ensure the safety of all guests, park staff routinely monitor water quality in and around Lake Mead National Recreation Area

This a reminder to the public to follow leave-no-trace principles, which include packing out trash and human waste (f***s).
