Please let me know how you feel I did answering questions that I was asked about important community concerns. On this day 3/23/2024 while I was being interviewed My Mom passed away approximately 2:30pm I was at UNLV from 12pm to 3:35pm when I turned my phone off of Airplane Mode, as I didn't want to disturb the filming. A Text from my Brother Sherman Sadler came through as I was loading my car back up with the Memorabilia I brought from the Salon and Commercial Center-which did not get featured in the Film. There was no representation from any LGBTQIA+ business owners, except a brief mention of some history. There was no mention of my 20+ years of neighborhood cleanup & beautification. So sad all the years of work and Clark County will still not recognize all My Business Association has done and all my efforts. At the time this was being filmed I was suing Clark County for being abusive towards me and harassing me through the licensing board. I had the fight of my life. They closed me down for 6 months, made me lose over 150k, my retirement savings, and unbelievable stress.

All due to siding with known criminal scam artists and fraudsters that targeted my business in 2022. Even with video & audio evidence and private investigator reports showing they harmed other businesses they still revoked my license and caused hardship. Only through Prayer, Meditation, affirmation and a good attorney did I overcome this evil. Thank You God, as I reopened June 1st.

After the interview I told them what happened, and I wanted to dedicate my portion to My Mom. They said they would be happy to do so, but they were told by Clark County they could not use any of my footage for the documentary-and then they were told lies about me and my business. I was honored that my Mom B would in the Documentary, and I think it would be fitting especially since the Commercial Center is all about Family Businesses. Its apparent that's not what they want Commercial Center to be about in the future. It's all about corporate greed and takeover. No more family businesses

Clark County paid for the Documentary as part of the redevelopment. It was filmed under the guise of a historic documentary, but Clark Countys real aim was to create a film to use to market to developers, just like the May 18th Festival with Deadmau5 last year was only to make a commercial to market to billionaire developers. There real motive is a master planned community they proposed in 2008-2009 during redevelopment then, which included tearing everything down from Joe Brown to Maryland Pkwy, and displacing 200 business owners and thousands of residents, while billionaire developers profited and the county through taxation of new development

Her Interview did not make it into the Documentary due to her opposition to Abusive Redevelopment and Concerns of Eminent Domain and her 20 plus years watchdog reporting and advocacy for the small business owners of Commercial Center and historic Preservation. 1776 equals 21 or 3. Three symbolize full cycles of Life past present future beginning middle and birth life and death Trinity's Father Son and the Holy Ghost, father mother child. Certainly symbolizing a full cycle and full circle of life within freedom.

Also the number can be viewed as 777 a very lucky number indeed. Seven is a mystical number.

To be the facilitator of change to end all inequality and injustices everywhere. To end religious oppression and oppression by tyrannical rulers who seek to dominate through fear and intimidation let us stand up and be responsible for the world in which we must create ourselves.

Freedom for one is freedom for all to be a way shower of personal liberties and freedoms for the world over. The great hope of our country is steeped in this Declaration of Independence. Let us take it in deeply and never forget the oppressive forces and all who died to give us the freedoms that we have. As we celebrate our 248th birthday we are still so young as a player in the world. But we have come so far in such a little time. A documentary I was interviewed for is showing tonight unfortunately I ended up on The Cutting Room floor. I was grateful to do a valuable community service and give my 20-year history at Commercial Center as a salon owner and Association president and 32-year history as a customer and resident of the area.

The students were wonderful and did a great job they were all so very friendly what a great experience to be behind the scenes in a studio. I brought them memorabilia from Commercial Center and also Harmony they learned about the struggle and Triumph of the small business owner the lgbtq businesses I was the only transgendered business owner interviewed.

My prayer before I went to the interview was dear God please help me to be helpful to my neighbors and the community as a whole for our success I set aside any personal differences and grievances in history with the county but also focused on telling the truth in a non-biased way about the many different challenges and struggles as a group of and community of business owners that we have faced for the past 60 years.

As far as I know my footage was not used but the experience was had and sometimes the most important work that can be done is what happens behind the scenes the important spiritual and prayer work and blessings that are given there was an experience that was had between myself and the students and I'm so grateful for that to provide an energetic foundation for this project and to bring my faith and spirituality to it in order to bless everyone that was involved. Spiritually there's an idiom When you pray go into your room close the door and pray I'm so grateful to bring my unique talents treasures and Gifts for this project

Interesting Story-but these are not the facts. Channel 8 did not contact Paula Sadler the association president. They claim Tick Segarblom spearheaded efforts to revitalize the area. Although there has been some recent interest in Commercial Center District World Village from Clark County it is through the redevelopment that was previously closed in 2009. It was only recently reopened quietly at the end of 2021. The efforts to revitalize have been ongoing with great success since 2004 When Paula Sadler opened A Harmony Nail Spa, Las Vegas Nevada and then The Commercial Center Business Association. Under her direction and over the past 20 years she has taken on the Entire 40 Acre plaza, with cleaning, security, & referring many new businesses to open. After a successful neighborhood major cleanup in 2005, she installed the first outdoor murals by Wallustrations Murals + Design and rebranded with a new website, press releases, neighborhood watch and regular meetings which have been ongoing since 2005.

She has held several major events, and continues her non-profit efforts that has enabled many to flourish and want to Join Commercial Center.

The new businesses just coming in like Arty's and The Composers Room are able to benefit from the long time success of the other 100 plus open business who have been operating some for many decades.

While the interest from Clark County, Nevada is appreciated there are many challenges. At this time there has been no assistance with cleaning and security in the general areas. The County held a block party Last May, for over 400k but could not pay for the removal of trash and homeless encampments on Tand Inc use of land adjacent to Commercial Center or get them to take action before thousands were to arrive in the neighborhood. Causing stress and problems for the Area until Paula & the Assocation paid to have it all cleaned up before the festival.

Paula Sadler and the Association held a monumental and the most important event for Commercial Center of The Decade and its history in October of 2023-Celebrating 60 years in Vegas. A Musical Stage Show was written by Sadler along with a Musical Timeline.

This was the first of its kind, and will be featured in a New Documentary-The Real Story of Commercial Center by Author Paula Sadler

Its been seven years since Lotus of Siam has operated in Commercial Center-although once very popular and vibrant and drew thousands for dining many years ago-almost a decade now. They have been operating far from Home. The Commercial Center attracted many new restaurants that have since become a staple for Locals and tourists alike. When asked about helping in the Community- When Sadler asked for help with security and cleaning and general safety of the Center-Penny of Lotus told Sadler that just being open was enough to help the community. Although she knew Penny since she was a teenager and used to do her nails at Harmony, it was not the answer Sadler had hoped for. Instead other businesses like John Fish Jewelers, Balkan Bar And Grill, Komol Restaurant, Nigerian Food Las Vegas, La Vecindad, Las Vegas Uniforms, Vickie's Diner, Classical Entertainment, Las Vegas Cue Club, Violin Outlet, Badlands Bar, Sahara Event Center, and several others heeded the call, and responded with community involvement beyond their own operations-They Are the Heroes of the Neighborhood to be recognized for their Outstanding Commitment

Its important to remember where we have come from, and to the original Founders. To honor those who have been in the trenches over the years.

We ask that the Media take note of The Stakeholders who have been helping to make it possible for The Commercial Center to survive and thrive. and to give credit where credit is due.

Its Easy for a government to come in that has Millions of Dollars to invest, and for Billionaire Developers to throw money at an area. But just try doing it on your own time without thought of pay, purely for service and all by donations of time, talent and treasure.
