On June 29th, 2024, at approximately 2pm, LVMPD SAR personnel aboard AIR1 conducted a rescue operation of an injured hiker on Bonanza Trail near Mount Charleston.

The victim sustained a lower foot injury and could not proceed on their own. A single Rescuer was inserted to the victim, packaged them, and they were extracted and care was transferred to ground ambulance. They were ultimately transported to a local hospital.

On June 29th, 2024, at approximately 2pm, LVMPD SAR personnel aboard AIR1 conducted a rescue operation of an injured hiker on Bonanza Trail near Mount Charleston. The victim sustained a lower foot injury and could not proceed on their own. A single Rescuer was inserted to the victim, packaged them, and they were extracted and care was transferred to ground ambulance. They were ultimately transported to a local hospital.

On April 21st SAR responded to Ash Canyon in Red Rock. A hiker fell 30-50’ the day before and was discovered in bad shape by passing by hikers. AIR1 responded and rescuers were inserted to the victim. Due to significant head, back and arm trauma along with hypothermia and dehydration the victim needed to be extracted via litter. AIR1 extracted the patient who was ultimately transferred to ground ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

On April 6th, 2024, around 2pm, SAR was requested for an injured climber in White Rock. The climber fell while beginning the climbing route Tunnel Vision and sustained head, neck and back injuries. AIR1 responded and multiple rescuers were inserted to the scene. The victim ultimately needed to be placed in a litter and with the help of their friends, SAR personnel were above to carry them to a suitable extraction point. AIR1 extracted the victim and SAR personnel out of the area. The victim was transported to local ground ambulance who ultimately transported them to a local hospital.

On April 6th, 2024 at approximately 12pm, AIR1 responded to Calico 1 in Red Rock for an injured hiker. The hiker fell when a rock shifted as they were down climbing resulting in a head injury. BLM Rangers made contact with the victim moments before AIR1 arrived. They were extracted via AIR1 and transported to awaiting ground ambulance for transport to the hospital.

On March 27th around 2pm, LVMPD SAR conducted a rescue in Calico Tanks for a hiker who fell and dislocated their knee. SAR personnel responded in AIR3 and were inserted by one skid near the hiker. Once on scene, SAR were met by LVFD Tech Rescue personnel shortly thereafter who helped treat and load the patient into a litter. The hiker was ultimately extracted via one skid in the litter by AIR3 and transported to awaiting ground ambulance. They were ultimately transported to a local hospital. AIR4 was near by and was able to get some footage of the initial approach and immediately after dropping off the two rescuers.
