Tidy With Tonya
Time to organize your life. Ready to assist the overwhelmed. Practical solutions for busy families.
It's that time of the year again when we raise money and awareness of cystic fibrosis on behalf of my sweet and mighty granddaughter! 📢
On November 14th, there will be a walk at the Houston Zoo to raise funds and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! We will be walking in support of Naomi and all that the foundation is doing to find a cure! Naomi's team name is "Naomi's Fight Crew". You can register to walk with us, and you can also find the donation page below! We would love to have a great team show up in support of Naomi and many others who are facing this life shortening disease. 💜
(These donations do not go directly to Naomi. They go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which does benefit Naomi in the long run. The donations will go towards continued research to find a cure and other ways the foundation helps those living with this disease.)
Our family is thankful for and proud of our cystic fibrosis warrior! 💜

Decluttering is so rewarding, and it's free. 🎖
Turned the sun-worn mailbox into an eye-catching piece. I love copper! 🤎📬

I said what I said. Aesthetically pleasing is awesome. I love it too, but if you have too much for your space, no amount of acrylic containers, uniform baskets, or color coordinating is going to solve your problems.
●Declutter first.
●Dig deep.
●Unearth emotions to figure out why you're saving so much that no longer serves you.
●Purge
●Now make it pretty.
✨️✨️✨️
Don't expect "your memories" to mean the same thing to everyone who loves you. Give your family permission to get rid of things while you're still present.
🔸️
How many of us have drawers, boxes, or shelves full of someone else's keepsakes? I don't want guilt clutter, and I would never force my children to inherit stuff they truly don't want or need. ⏳️
I've been out of the office all week. Your home or space isn't the only thing that needs a reset. Take care of your mind, body, and soul first. ✨️
It's true seeing certain items can spark a memory, but holding onto everything physically will never serve you. In fact, the weight of all that clutter lessens your joy and doesn't allow true peace with your memories. 💖
I saw this quote online and made it pretty. The message comes across as humorous at first, but it's actually dark and depressing. Don't wait until you're older or retired to address your "stuff." Those years should be spent relaxing and enjoying life. Even worse, if you never address the excess stuff, then it's left to your loved ones to deal with, and they will be stuck with guilt clutter. The cycle will never end.
Start today. Start now. Start small and keep going! 🌸
Summer is approaching. A change of the season is a great time to reevaluate your wardrobe. I alloted a certain number for each type of clothing. Pick out the favorites and purge the rest. I'll admit it's not easy. I have never been obsessed with clothes or shopping, but I still have way too many. 👚👗👖👒👡
Sometimes, the message hits too close to home. 🎯
Amazing idea. 🙌
Better for my bank account and my clutter level to let it stay there. 💁♀️
Quick reset of the tea/coffee cabinet. Organizing doesn't have to be an all-day affair. Set a timer and tackle one small project at a time. 💫✨️
Checking in. What are you decluttering or purging today? I'm taking on craft supplies. I'm not a huge crafter, but I like to have some things on hand for simple projects. For me, keeping my crafts items down to a few small totes is sufficient. You might need a whole room or closet. Decluttering isn't always a massive endeavor. It could entail a drawer or one box. Some people don't know where to start. But start! You will be surprised what you can accomplish.
Have a great week! 🌠
Tidying up my kitchen today, I thought about this fact. Some people get overwhelmed about a decluttering task because they know it's going to create some chaos. If you get started and follow through, the chaos will only be temporary.
Practical solutions to decluttering your home or any space. 🤎🩶
Keep what you LOVE. This should also include items that you truly NEED. I might not love the vacuum, but with pets and kids, it's a must, so I find a spot for it.
LIST items for sale that might be of value. Don't overthink this. If it's too much hassle, this should go into the next category.
LET GO. Anything that doesn't serve you or you don't have room for should be donated.
LITTER is trash. I guarantee you are saving trash somewhere in your home. Open some drawers or look under the beds, and you'll see that I'm right.
It's almost a new year. Instead of making resolutions that you're highly unlikely to keep, decide to take action.
Also, I would love to help you with that. 🎉😉
Avoiding mental clutter. 🗑
Do you find the holidays stressful or fun? Here's a few suggestions that help me worry less and enjoy the season more. I'm not in a competition with anyone else's Christmas celebrations. Also, can we normalize not asking people if they're ready for Christmas? December 25th will arrive whether I'm ready or not.
Things I enjoy: my tree, cookie baking, holiday movies, puzzles and cooking. My family ❤
Things I don't care for: busy stores, traffic, crowded parties, excess nonsense, and spending too much money.
What do you do to stay grounded while enjoying the holidays? 🎄
Post worthy Delicious peppermint mocha. ☕🍬
Thanks to for the inspiration. This candy bowl tower was easy to make and perfect for the porch. 🍫🍬🍭🎃

Heard this today. Wow! Meditate on this simple sentence for a minute. We can't start in the past or the future. We can only start from this exact moment in our lives. 🤎
Love this. 🤎 (credit: )
