Will be here until they figure out what's wrong they are going to be ordering more tests. But here until they release us could be a couple days or possibly longer they aren't too sure just yet (sissy comes in 2 weeks for her brain surgery). He has a great team of drs trying to solve the mystery. And the nurses have been amazing. He had his 2nd blood transfusion lastnight. His levels rose a little bit.

Well this will continue being our view for a few more days. His endoscopy went good. They said looked normal got to wait for the biopsy results now. His blood results didn't come up any they did drop a little unfortunately that means we stay and he gets to have more blood transfusions. Possibly more than one if stuff don't change. They will continue monitoring him and try to figure out why the levels dropped again. Giovanni Lentini. This boy hates this so bad. This is heartbreaking. Then in 2 weeks Olivia will be here for a few days. Keep sending those prayers and well wishes for August.

August got to drive around the floor today for a bit. Had some visitors. Ate some food finally and had an awesome nap. His endoscopy is tomorrow sometime for sure. He goes NPO after midnight til the procedure. They will have him hooked to the IV fluids all night. He was a little happier today. But they didn't poke him he's lucky he's cute the nurses got them to do the blood while he is under anesthesia thankfully. Will be waiting on all the results to see what's going on. He cant leave until his levels stabilize and they consider him medically stable. this kid is strong.

Update2!! Nothing much has changed yet. Hes being a trooper even with all the crying.

Update!! Iron infusion currently then a blood transfusion later today and more waiting to find the issue causing this. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support. August is a tough boy and his room has a nice view.

Hello once again. Pausing orders momentarily. August is currently admitted to the hospital for some issues. Will be back soon.

LONG POST AHEAD!!
Olivia had a few MRIs a couple months ago due to some issues. We came to find out she has a Chiari malformation (kee-AH-ree mal-for-MAY-shun) is a condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal. It occurs when part of the skull is misshapen or smaller than is typical. The skull presses on the brain and forces it downward. She went to a Neurosurgeon today to discuss some minor issues arising and we came to the conclusion that she will need to have surgery to help this.
Chiari malformation surgery is a type of brain surgery called a craniotomy. The surgery is also known as posterior fossa decompression or foramen magnum decompression. It's performed to relieve pressure on the brain and make room for a herniated cerebellum. The surgery can also help restore the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid.
Sounds pretty scary but we aren't letting it get us down. Once surgery is scheduled we will update. She always says she is Big Brain well turns out that is 100% true
