We are hiring ophthalmology medical billing specialist. If interested please contact us!

Candidate must know I medicware software!

LC Billing Corp is a busy, independent, multi-subspecialty billing company. Candidates should have coding and billing experience in ophthalmology; familiarity with IMedicware, NextGen PM and Integrity EMR is a plus. Must have a solid knowledge of insurance EOB’s and knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD 9/10 codes. Must have knowledge with Medicare and Medicaid of NY.
This job requires a highly reliable person who is capable of efficient, independent work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Revenue Cycle Management (verification through collections & AR)
• Strong understanding of Evaluation and Management codes, Eye Codes, ICD 10 coding and Medicare guidelines.
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records data entry and review.
• Understand current regulatory coding requirements.
• Make independent decisions based on knowledge.
• Outreach to customers/payors to validate incomplete information.
• Apply standard protocol to CPT coding standard and guidelines.
• Submission of claims electronic/paper, follow through on denied, incorrect and/or unpaid claims; submission of corrected, reconsideration and appeal claims.
• A/R claims follow-up which includes handling appeals & denials and answering patient’s billing questions.
• Ideal candidate should possess good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to service, and ability to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
• Work effectively with others and as a team member.
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as needed and requested.
